Q: Will it fit a 15-inch laptop?
A: Many 15-inch slim laptops (up to roughly 35.5 × 24.5 cm) will fit due to the 39 cm width and 28 cm height. If you use a bulky case or sleeve, please compare your device’s exact dimensions with the bag’s measurements to be sure.

Q: Does this model have a closure or a shoulder strap?

Q: What is the Marco Polo line made of?
A: Marco Polo pieces are crafted from a durable rubberised/coated canvas with leather trim featuring Bottega Veneta’s signature Intrecciato detail. This particular bag has beige Marco Polo printed canvas, brown leather details, and a brown fabric lining with an internal zip pocket. Made in Italy.

Q: Is the material water‑resistant?
A: The rubberised/coated canvas offers good everyday resistance to light rain and splashes. However, the leather trim, seams, and open‑top design are not waterproof. In wet weather, avoid prolonged exposure and wipe the bag dry promptly.

Q: How should I care for rubberised canvas with leather details?
A: Wipe the coated canvas with a soft, slightly damp cloth and a drop of mild soap if needed; avoid alcohol, acetone, or abrasive cleaners. Keep leather trim away from moisture; nourish sparingly with a suitable leather conditioner after spot‑testing. Store the bag stuffed to hold its shape in a breathable dust bag, out of direct sunlight and heat. Avoid dark denim or pigment transfer against the light canvas.

Q: Is it suitable as an airline carry‑on or personal item?
A: The dimensions are below many airlines’ standard carry‑on limits (often around 55 × 40 × 23 cm). It works well as a soft personal tote for the cabin when not overfilled. Policies vary by airline and route, so please check your carrier’s current rules before you fly.

Q: Does it have a serial number or date code, and how do you authenticate it?
A: Bottega Veneta bags typically have an interior leather label stamped “Bottega Veneta Made in Italy”, with a small serial/model code on the reverse or a fabric tag—these are not date codes in the LV sense and formats vary by era. At A Retro Tale, every item undergoes rigorous multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, and codes; we stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide further details on request.
