Q: What are the measurements of the pendant and chain?
A: The pendant is approximately 2 cm high by 2.5 cm wide, and the fine chain is about 55 cm long. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for confirmation.

Q: What is the finish and material of this necklace?
A: It features a gold‑tone finish with a bear‑on‑an‑aeroplane pendant that has Nova Check pattern detailing. As with most Burberry fashion jewellery, pieces are typically crafted in gold‑tone brass or sterling silver finishes rather than solid gold.

Q: Is this necklace solid gold?
A: No. It is fashion jewellery with a gold‑tone finish. It is not solid gold and does not carry precious‑metal purity hallmarks.

Q: Is the chain length adjustable?
A: The necklace has a lobster clasp and wears at approximately 55 cm. It does not include an extender. A professional jeweller can shorten the chain if desired.

Q: How should I care for the gold‑tone finish?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear. Avoid water, perfume, lotions, hairspray and household cleaners, and remove before showering, swimming or exercising. Store it separately in a dry pouch or box to minimise friction and tarnish.

Q: Will the gold‑tone finish tarnish or wear over time?
A: All plated or gold‑tone finishes can dull with frequent contact, moisture or abrasion. Rotating wear, keeping it dry and storing it individually will help prolong the finish; professional replating is an option in the long term if needed.

Q: Is the Nova Check detailing authentic to Burberry?
A: Yes—the Nova Check is a signature Burberry motif. This vintage pendant incorporates Nova Check pattern detailing consistent with Burberry’s house codes.

Q: What condition is it in?
A: Very Good Condition overall. The hardware is shiny with light scratches and there may be minor signs of wear consistent with vintage use. Please review the photos and Condition notes for full details.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information section on this page. If an item like a branded box or pouch is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate this necklace?
A: Every piece is rigorously examined by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, construction, engravings and maker’s marks, and cross‑referenced with brand references. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and are happy to share additional photos or details on request.
