Q: Is this Cartier Juste un Clou Bracelet authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What material is it made from? Is it solid gold?
A: Yes, this bracelet is crafted from solid 18k rose gold. The Juste un Clou collection transforms a simple nail into fine jewellery, and this piece features the warm, coppery tones characteristic of Cartier’s pink gold alloy (750).

Q: Is this the Small Model (SM) or the Regular Model?
A: This is the Small Model. It is the slimmer version of the design, with a tube width of approximately 2.5 mm (0.25 cm). It offers a more delicate profile compared to the regular model and is highly sought after for stacking with other bracelets.

Q: How does the fastening mechanism work on the Small Model?
A: Unlike the regular model which has a hinge and clasp, the Small Model is designed to be flexible. To put it on, you gently twist the nail head and tip sideways (in opposite directions) to create an opening, slide your wrist in, and let it spring back. It does not require a key or latch.

Q: What does Size 16 mean? Will it fit my wrist?
A: Cartier bracelet sizes correspond to the inner circumference in centimetres. A Size 16 is typically suitable for a wrist circumference of roughly 14.5 cm to 15.0 cm, depending on whether you prefer a snug or loose fit. We recommend measuring an existing bracelet or your wrist to confirm.

Q: What hallmarks or stamps should I expect to see?
A: You should look for the Cartier signature, the gold fineness stamp (usually 750 or Au750 for 18k gold), the size (16), and a unique serial number engraved on the inside of the band. Our photos display the specific markings present on this item.

Q: Can I stack this bracelet with others?
A: Absolutely. The Juste un Clou Small Model is famous for its stackability. It pairs beautifully with the Cartier Love Bracelet, other variations of the Juste un Clou, or watch straps, adding texture and shine without being bulky.

Q: How should I care for 18k rose gold?
A: To maintain its lustre, clean it occasionally with warm soapy water and a soft brush, then dry with a soft microfibre cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive surfaces. Over time, gold can develop fine surface scratches, which is normal for daily wear.

Q: Can it be polished or repaired?
A: Yes. As it is solid gold, a professional jeweller or Cartier specialist can polish the bracelet to remove surface scratches. We generally recommend light polishing only when necessary to preserve the shape and metal weight.

Q: What condition should I expect and is everything included?
A: This bracelet is in Very Good Condition, meaning it shows only light signs of wear consistent with careful use. Please note that this listing includes no accessories (it comes without the original box or papers). Returns are accepted under our standard policy—please ensure the item is returned in the same condition received.
