Q: Is this Cartier Love Bracelet authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What material is it made from? Is it solid gold?
A: This Love Bracelet is crafted from solid 18kt rose gold. It is stamped 750 to indicate the metal purity. It is not plated. Please review the close‑up photos and features to confirm the specific appearance and composition.

Q: How do I know if Size 16 will fit my wrist?
A: Cartier Love bracelets are sized in centimetres. A Size 16 generally fits a wrist circumference between 14 cm (for a looser fit) and 14.5 cm (for a snug fit). As the bangle is rigid and oval‑shaped, accurate measurement is essential. Contact us if you need further fit guidance.

Q: How does the locking mechanism work?
A: The bracelet consists of two halves that align around the wrist and are secured with two functional screws. It requires a screwdriver to open and close, designed to be worn semi-permanently. Please ensure the screws are tightened securely before wear.

Q: Can it be resized?
A: Due to the full‑circle design and specific screw mechanism, this bracelet cannot be resized. It is crucial to purchase the correct size for your wrist.

Q: What hallmarks should I expect?
A: Authentic Cartier Love bracelets typically feature the Cartier signature, the material hallmark (750), the size number (16) and a serial number engraved on the interior. Placement and font can vary by production year. Our listing photos depict the specific hallmarks on this item.

Q: Is it prone to scratching?
A: Yes, 18kt gold is a relatively soft metal. Daily wear will naturally result in surface scratches and a softened sheen over time, which is often considered part of the Love bracelet's unique character.

Q: What condition should I expect, what is included, and can I return it?
A: This bracelet is in Very Good Condition with possible light signs of wear consistent with careful use unless noted otherwise. This listing includes the screwdriver. Returns are accepted under our standard policy—please see our Returns page for eligibility, timeframes and conditions, and ensure the item is returned in the same condition received.
