Q: What is the Cartier Santos Demoiselle 20mm Two‑Tone Full Set 2014 watch?
A: It’s a petite ladies’ Cartier Santos with a 20mm case in stainless steel and 18ct yellow gold, a white dial with black Roman numerals, blued steel hands, and an octagonal crown set with a blue cabochon. It’s Swiss‑made and powered by a reliable quartz movement. This listing is from 2014 and is delivered as a full set.

Q: What’s included and how do you guarantee authenticity?
A: Delivered with full set: box, certificate, and 4 extra links (note: the box pillow shows flaking from age). A Retro Tale rigorously authenticates every item and guarantees 100% originality. We provide a 12‑month movement guarantee, free fully insured DHL shipping, a 14‑day return policy, and 0% customs fees for EU buyers.

Q: Which movement does it use and how long does the battery last?
A: It uses a Swiss quartz movement. Typical battery life is around 2–3 years depending on use and storage. Many Cartier quartz watches take a 1.55V silver‑oxide cell; please have a professional confirm the exact battery type for this specific piece.

Q: How do I set the time on this quartz Santos Demoiselle?
A: Gently pull the crown out to the time‑setting position and turn the hands to the correct time. Push the crown back in firmly when finished. This model is typically time‑only (no date), so there’s no date‑setting step.

Q: Is it water‑resistant and can I wear it in the rain or swim with it?
A: As a pre‑owned piece, water resistance cannot be guaranteed without recent servicing and pressure testing. Treat it as splash‑resistant at best and avoid swimming, showering or submersion. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any exposure to moisture.

Q: Will it fit my wrist, and can the bracelet be resized?
A: As listed, it fits a wrist of approximately 16.5 cm or smaller. The bracelet can be adjusted by adding/removing links, and this watch includes 4 extra links. Share your wrist measurement and we’ll advise sizing options; additional genuine links may be sourced subject to availability.

Q: What type of crystal does it have?
A: Most Cartier Santos models feature a scratch‑resistant sapphire crystal. If you’d like us to confirm the crystal type on this exact watch, please contact us and we’ll verify it for you.

Q: What materials are used and how should I care for them?
A: The watch pairs stainless steel with 18ct yellow gold. Wipe surfaces with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive polishes, solvents, perfumes and chlorine, which can mark metal or seals. Store away from humidity and extreme heat. Light surface scratches are normal on pre‑owned pieces and can be refined by a professional if desired.

Q: How does the Demoiselle compare to other Santos models?
A: The Demoiselle is the more delicate, feminine expression of the Santos, with a smaller 20mm case and a refined two‑tone bracelet. It retains the classic Cartier design cues—Roman numerals, blued hands and cabochon crown—while offering quartz convenience and a jewellery‑like presence ideal for dress and everyday elegance.

Q: What servicing and accuracy should I expect from a quartz Cartier?
A: Replace the battery every 2–3 years and have gaskets inspected if moisture resistance is important. A routine movement check/service every 5–10 years is sensible, or sooner if you notice any issues (e.g., stopping, running fast/slow, condensation). Keep the watch away from strong magnets and wipe it clean after wear.
