Q: Do I need pierced ears to wear these?
A: No. These are clip-on earrings that fasten comfortably to the earlobe without piercings. For best comfort, start with shorter wear times and consider adding silicone cushion pads to the clips if you have sensitive ears.

Q: How large are they and how do they sit on the ear?
A: Approximate measurements are 4.5 cm (height) × 2 cm (width) × 1.5 cm (depth). The Eiffel Tower charm has gentle movement and sits just below the earlobe, creating a chic, dangling effect.

Q: What are they made of, and are they nickel-free?
A: They feature gold‑tone fashion jewellery hardware typical of vintage costume pieces. The exact alloy is unknown, so we cannot guarantee they are nickel‑free. If you are nickel‑sensitive, consider using protective clip pads and limiting wear time, or consult your dermatologist for guidance.

Q: Are clip-ons comfortable for longer wear?
A: Comfort varies by person and ear shape. Tips for extended wear include adding silicone pads, ensuring the clip sits flat on the lobe, taking short breaks, and avoiding heavy tugging from hair or scarves. If pressure feels excessive, pads usually help.

Q: Can the clips be adjusted?
A: Many vintage paddle‑back clips allow very minor tension tweaks, but excessive bending can weaken the mechanism. We recommend using comfort pads first; any adjustment should be done carefully by a professional jeweller.

Q: Can these be converted to pierced earrings?
A: Some clip‑ons can be professionally converted, but suitability depends on the design. Conversions are permanent, may alter the original structure, and can reduce collectable value. If you’re considering this, consult a skilled jeweller before proceeding.

Q: How should I care for gold‑tone, plated costume jewellery?
A: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after each wear. Avoid water, perfume, lotions, hairspray and household chemicals, which can dull or wear the plating. Do not use abrasive cleaners or ultrasonic machines. Store separately in a soft pouch to prevent scratches and tangling.

Q: Are there any hallmarks or stamps on vintage Céline earrings?
A: Vintage Céline costume jewellery often carries a CELINE or CELINE PARIS signature on the front motif or on the reverse/clip area; placement and style vary by era. Stamps are one indicator only—overall materials and construction are also assessed during authentication.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: This pair includes our authenticity certificate. Unless specifically stated, a branded box, dust pouch, or spare comfort pads are not included—please refer to the Accessories section on this page for the exact contents.

Q: When should I avoid wearing them?
A: Remove before showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping, and put them on after applying hair or beauty products. These habits help preserve the finish and keep the clips secure.
