Q: What are the dimensions and how does it wear?
A: Approximately 4.2 cm (W) × 2 cm (H) × 1 cm (D). Its compact profile makes it ideal for lapels, knitwear and scarves without feeling bulky. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact sizing.

Q: What is it made from?
A: A grey resin bow set with pink rhinestones, featuring an interlocking CC at the centre and a gold‑tone pin fastening. Chanel fashion brooches are typically crafted from metal with details in resin, glass pearls and strass (rhinestones).

Q: Is the gold‑tone metal solid gold?
A: No. This is Chanel costume jewellery with a gold‑tone plated finish. Chanel reserves solid precious metals for its fine jewellery collections.

Q: How can I wear it without damaging delicate fabrics?
A: Reinforce the area with a small square of felt or foam on the inside of the garment and pin through these layers. Prefer structured fabrics (wool, tweed, denim) and avoid very fine silks or open‑weave knits. Magnetic brooch plates are a good option for ultra‑delicate pieces.

Q: Can I wear it as a pendant?
A: Yes. A brooch‑to‑pendant converter allows the pin to slide into a small tube with a bail so you can hang it from a chain. Choose a sturdy chain and ensure the brooch sits flat.

Q: How should I care for the rhinestones and finish?
A: Keep away from water, perfume and hairspray; put jewellery on after cosmetics. After wear, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not soak or use ultrasonic cleaners. Store in a dry pouch, away from humidity and direct sunlight.

Q: What if a rhinestone is lost in future?
A: Replacement on vintage costume jewellery depends on stone size and colour availability. Specialist repairers can often source close matches and reset stones. Chanel boutiques primarily service fine jewellery; for costume pieces, after‑sales options are assessed case by case.

Q: How do I verify authenticity of a Chanel brooch?
A: Authentic pieces typically bear a signature stamp or oval plaque marked Chanel, the CC logo and “Made in France” or “Made in Italy”; later pieces often include a season code. Placement varies by era. A Retro Tale authenticates every item we sell and can share additional stamp photos on request.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: The listing is for the brooch only; no accessories are included unless specifically stated under Accessories. This piece is noted as no accessories.

Q: Is it suitable for coats and blazers?
A: Yes. The sturdy pin and compact size make it ideal for lapels and wool coats. Ensure the clasp is fully closed and avoid forcing the pin through very thick seams.
