Q: What fits inside this Chanel Vintage Clutch?
A: With a generous width of 31 cm, this clutch is spacious enough for more than just evening essentials. It comfortably holds a large smartphone, a continental wallet, keys, lipstick and a compact. The dimensions (approx. 31 × 20 cm) are typically sufficient to accommodate a standard-sized tablet (such as an iPad) or an A5 notebook, making it a versatile choice for business or leisure.

Q: What defines the "Diana" style?
A: This piece features the iconic design elements associated with the Chanel Diana line, popularised in the late 1980s and early 90s. It is characterised by the smooth, curved leather border framing the central diamond-quilted panel. While the classic Diana is known as a shoulder bag, this rare clutch variation retains the elegant silhouette in a streamlined, handheld format.

Q: Can I wear this bag as a shoulder bag?
A: This specific item is a handheld clutch and does not come with a shoulder strap. Its slim profile (3 cm depth) and elongated shape are designed to be carried in the hand or tucked under the arm for a sophisticated vintage look.

Q: How should I care for the vintage lambskin leather?
A: Lambskin is renowned for its buttery-soft texture and natural lustre but is more delicate than caviar leather. To maintain its condition, avoid contact with water, oils and dark denim. If light surface scratches occur, you can often buff them out gently with a clean, soft finger or a dry microfibre cloth using circular motions. Store the bag upright in a dust bag with proper stuffing to prevent pressure marks.

Q: What are the interior features?
A: In true vintage Chanel style, the interior is lined in striking red leather—a signature contrast to the black exterior. It features multiple compartments to keep your belongings organised, including one zipped pocket for securing valuables.

Q: How do you authenticate this vintage piece?
A: As with all our items, this clutch has been rigorously vetted by our in-house experts. Authentic vintage Chanel pieces from this era typically feature an internal serial number sticker. This item includes the serial number tag. Note that for vintage items, the accompanying authenticity card may no longer be present; please refer to the "Accessories" section for exactly what is included.

Q: What is the condition of this specific item?
A: This is a pre-loved vintage piece rated in "Good" condition. It shows visible signs of wear consistent with its age, including scuffing on the corners and edges and light scratches on the gold-tone hardware. The leather has been well-loved, developing a unique character. We recommend viewing the detailed photos on this page to appreciate its vintage charm.
