Q: What typically fits in the Fendi Mamma Leather Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 29 × 22 × 10 cm and an adjustable shoulder drop around 20 cm, it comfortably fits a long wallet, smartphone, sunglasses case, keys, a small cosmetics pouch and a small tablet up to roughly 10 inches. It will not accommodate A4 documents or a laptop. Please compare these measurements with your own items for the best guidance.

Q: Is this the Mamma Baguette model and how does it differ from the classic Baguette?
A: Yes. The Mamma is the roomier, more practical iteration of Fendi’s iconic Baguette, created in the late 1990s with the same under‑the‑arm silhouette and FF clasp but a larger capacity. This vintage piece reflects those signature codes. ([fendi.com](https://www.fendi.com/us-en/woman/bags/mamma-baguette-medium-dove-gray-nappa-leather-bag-8br833aq0df0e65))

Q: Can the strap be adjusted and is it suitable for crossbody wear?
A: The bag has a single flat adjustable shoulder strap designed for shoulder carry. The drop is approximately 20 cm on this piece and is generally not long enough for comfortable crossbody wear.

Q: What are the closure and interior details?
A: It features a magnetic flap closure, gold‑tone FF buckle with stone detail, tan lining and one internal zipped pocket for valuables.

Q: What is included in the product information for this listing?
A: This listing includes the bag only. No additional items are included unless specifically stated in the product information section on this page.

Q: What is the condition of this vintage item?
A: Overall in good condition. Notable signs of wear include cracked leather on the shoulder strap, scuff marks on the back and corners, light traces of use inside, and scratches/discolouration on the hardware. Please review all photos and the condition notes before purchasing.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate Fendi bags, and what identifiers might be present on a vintage Mamma?
A: Every item is vetted by our in‑house experts. Depending on era, authentic Fendi bags typically have a serial/code (often 15–17 characters) located on or behind an interior leather tag; many mid‑2000s pieces also have a hologram label, while later pieces may use embedded RFID/NFC elements. No single feature should be judged in isolation; overall craftsmanship and period‑correct details are assessed. Q: Is the Mamma Baguette still produced today?
A: Yes. Fendi re‑introduced the Mamma Baguette and it currently appears in the House’s line-up, while this particular piece is a vintage example made in Italy. ([fendi.com](https://www.fendi.com/us-en/woman/bags/mamma-baguette))

Q: How should I care for the ecru pebbled leather?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after use. For light marks, use a slightly damp cloth and allow to air dry. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, heat or moisture, and minimise contact with dark fabrics to reduce colour transfer. Store stuffed to hold its shape in a breathable dust bag away from humidity. Use a neutral leather conditioner sparingly and test on a small area first.

Q: Where is this bag made?
A: Italy, as stated on the product information for this item.
