Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Bond Street MM?
A: The Bond Street MM is a practical medium‑sized top‑handle bag, perfect for daily use. It comfortably holds essentials such as a large smartphone, continental wallet, keys, cosmetics pouch, and sunglasses in a case. It can also accommodate a compact tablet (like an iPad or iPad Air), but it is not designed to fit A4 documents or laptops. Please refer to the Measurements on this page (approx. 28 × 21 × 12 cm) or contact us for a tailored fit check.

Q: Is the shoulder strap adjustable? Can I wear it crossbody?
A: The leather shoulder strap is detachable but typically not adjustable. With a drop of approximately 58 cm, it is designed to sit comfortably as a crossbody or long shoulder bag for most wearers. The single top handle allows for hand or crook‑of‑arm carry. If you are unsure about the strap length, feel free to ask us for more details regarding this specific piece.

Q: How secure is the closure?
A: The bag features a front flap with a concealed magnetic closure, offering easy access while keeping your belongings secure. The side gussets are equipped with press‑studs (snaps), allowing you to expand the bag’s opening slightly to access the interior more easily.

Q: What materials is this bag made from?
A: This Bond Street MM is crafted from Louis Vuitton’s durable Damier Ébène coated canvas, featuring a distinctive central stripe and trim in Taurillon leather (grained calfskin) and smooth leather details. The interior is lined with a coordinating Bordeaux textile. The listing specifies the exact condition and finish of this item.

Q: How should I care for Damier Ébène canvas and the leather trim?
A: Coated canvas is robust and water‑resistant; simply wipe it with a soft, damp cloth to clean. The Taurillon and smooth leather trims are natural materials—avoid moisture, oils (like hand cream), and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat. Store the bag upright in its dust bag when not in use to maintain its structure.

Q: Where can I find the date code on this bag?
A: Louis Vuitton date codes are usually found on a small leather tab inside an interior pocket or along a seam. This specific piece bears the code AH0119, indicating it was manufactured in France around the 1st week of 2019. Code placement can vary; we are happy to provide close‑up photos on request.

Q: How do you authenticate this item?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, date codes, and overall construction. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide additional details if needed.

Q: What accessories are included?
A: Included items are listed under “Accessories” in the product description. For this bag, we note the presence of a dust bag, shoulder strap, and luggage tag. If an accessory (like a box or receipt) is not listed there, it is not included.
