Q: What is the LV x TM Superflat Characters Cardboard Box?
A: It is a rigid decorative storage box from the Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami re‑edition, crafted in Monogram coated canvas printed with Murakami’s Superflat characters, with a soft microfibre lining and brass rivet detailing. It is designed to be both functional and decorative for small-item storage or display.

Q: Is this a handbag or does it come with a strap?
A: It is not a handbag. It is a structured storage box with a removable lid and no strap or handle, intended for home, desk, or shelf use (some clients place it inside luggage as a small organiser).

Q: How big is it and what typically fits inside?
A: Approx. 12.5 × 20 × 13.5 cm (H × W × D). It comfortably holds small essentials such as jewellery, a compact card holder, keys, AirPods/earbuds, lipstick, or keepsakes. Bulky items or overfilling may stress the lid and corners—refer to the Measurements on this page for exact sizing.

Q: Which collection and year is this piece from?
A: It belongs to the Louis Vuitton × Takashi Murakami 20th‑anniversary re‑edition, released in 2025, celebrating the House’s era‑defining collaboration and its vibrant Superflat universe.

Q: What materials is it made from?
A: Monogram coated canvas with Murakami Superflat artwork, a soft microfibre (suede‑like) lining in a teal‑blue tone, and engraved brass hardware/rivets. The artwork is printed onto the canvas rather than applied as a sticker.

Q: How should I care for the printed Monogram canvas and lining?
A: Wipe the exterior gently with a soft cloth slightly dampened with water and a little mild soap if needed. Avoid alcohol‑based solutions, oils, leather lotions, or harsh chemicals. Keep away from prolonged sunlight or humidity, and store in its dust bag with light stuffing to help retain shape.

Q: Does it have a date code or serial number?
A: Louis Vuitton phased out visible date codes in favour of embedded microchips from 2021 onward, so newer pieces may not have a stamped code. The chip is not user‑scannable; authenticity is assessed via expert multi‑point inspection. A Retro Tale guarantees authenticity for every item we sell.

Q: Is it suitable for storing jewellery?
A: Yes—its soft lined interior is gentle on jewellery. For precious metals, we recommend placing items in small pouches or anti‑tarnish sleeves and ensuring pieces are dry and clean before storage to prevent transfer or tarnish.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under product information for this listing. For this piece, it comes with a box and a dust bag. If you need clarification, our team will be happy to confirm.

Q: Where was this piece made?
A: France, as noted in the product information.
