Q: Are these earrings vintage or new?
A: These are authentic pre-owned earrings. They are listed in Very Good condition, with light traces of use and shiny hardware showing light surface scratches.

Q: What size are the earrings?
A: The listed measurements are approximately 6 cm in height and 1 cm in width. For the best idea of how they will sit when worn, please refer to the Measurements on this page.

Q: What makes Akoya pearls special?
A: Akoya pearls are known for their bright mirror-like lustre, refined shape and classic elegance. They are one of the most sought-after pearl types for fine jewellery and are especially popular in earrings because they look polished and sophisticated without feeling overly heavy.

Q: How should I care for Akoya pearl and gold earrings?
A: Pearls are delicate and should be handled with care. Wipe them gently with a soft dry cloth after wear, keep them away from perfume, hairspray, cosmetics and harsh cleaning products, and store them separately from harder jewellery to help prevent scratches.

Q: Can I wear pearl earrings every day?
A: Yes, many people wear Akoya pearl earrings regularly, but they do best with mindful use. It is best to avoid wearing them while showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping, as moisture, chemicals and impact can affect both the pearls and the gold over time.

Q: Are these earrings suitable for gifting?
A: Yes. TASAKI pearl jewellery is widely appreciated for its understated luxury and timeless appeal, making it a thoughtful gift choice. As this is a pre-owned item with no accessories included, it is worth noting that only the earrings themselves are part of the sale.

Q: Will the pearls on this pair all look exactly identical?
A: Natural and cultured pearls often show slight variations in overtone, surface character and lustre, which is part of their charm. Any overall visible condition for this specific pair is reflected in the product images and condition description.

Q: How do I know these earrings are authentic?
A: Every item sold by A Retro Tale is carefully vetted for authenticity before being offered for sale. If you would like more detail about the authentication process for this pair, customer service can usually provide further guidance.
