Q: Are these Chanel Coco Mark Star Rhinestone Earrings authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What are they made from? Are they solid silver?
A: Chanel costume jewellery is typically crafted from plated base metal in a silver‑tone finish with glass rhinestones (strass). They are not solid sterling silver unless explicitly stated. Please review the close‑up photos and features for this pair.

Q: How big are they and how noticeable will they be when worn?
A: They measure approximately 2.7 cm (height) x 2.0 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (depth). The size offers a sparkly, statement look while remaining comfortable for most wearers. If you’d like the gram weight or an on‑ear photo for scale, just ask and we’ll provide it.

Q: How do they fasten? Can I wear them without pierced ears?
A: They feature a post‑back closure for pierced ears. If you don’t have piercings, clip‑on converters are available from jewellers; permanent conversions should be handled by a professional and may affect originality and resale value. We do not supply converters with this item.

Q: What hallmarks or stamps should I expect on Chanel earrings?
A: Many vintage/seasonal Chanel earrings carry a small plaque or stamp with CHANEL, often “Made in France” or “Made in Italy,” and sometimes a season code. Placement and format vary by era and collection. Our photos show any stamps present on this pair.

Q: Are they suitable for sensitive ears? Are they nickel‑free?
A: Fashion jewellery alloys and platings may contain nickel. If you have sensitivities, consider hypoallergenic backs, applying a clear barrier to the post, and limiting wear time. Discontinue use if irritation occurs and seek personalised advice from a healthcare professional if needed.

Q: How should I care for the silver‑tone finish and rhinestones?
A: Keep them dry and away from perfume, hairspray, lotions and hand sanitiser. Put earrings on after cosmetics, and wipe gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth after wear. Avoid soaking, ultrasonic cleaners and chemical dips, which can loosen stone settings or dull the finish. Store individually in a pouch or box.

Q: Can I wear them in water or while exercising?
A: We recommend removing them before swimming, showering or workouts. Moisture, sweat and chemicals can accelerate wear on plated finishes and may loosen rhinestones over time.

Q: Can missing stones be replaced or repairs arranged?
A: Chanel boutiques primarily service fine jewellery; support for vintage costume pieces can vary. Specialist workshops can often replace rhinestones, secure settings or tighten posts. Contact us and we’ll be happy to suggest reputable restorers.

Q: What condition should I expect, what is included, and can I return them?
A: This pair is in Very Good Condition with light signs of careful wear possible unless noted otherwise. Accessories are not included unless specifically shown—this listing states “no accessories.” Returns are accepted under our standard policy; please ensure the item is returned in the same condition received.
