ChanelCC Brooch

Q: What size is this Chanel CC Brooch?
A: This brooch measures approximately 4.5 cm wide, 3.3 cm high and 1 cm deep. It is a compact statement size that works well on a blazer lapel, coat, knitwear or scarf.

Q: What is this brooch made from?
A: According to the product information, it features silver-tone metal with a grey pearlescent inlay and a classic CC design.

Q: How does the brooch fasten?
A: It has a pin closure on the reverse. As with any brooch, make sure the clasp is fully secured before wearing.

Q: What condition is this piece in?
A: It is listed in Very Good condition, with light traces of use overall and shiny hardware with light scratches. As a vintage item, gentle signs of age are normal and part of its character.

Q: Where was this brooch made?
A: The country of origin label states France.

Q: How can I style a Chanel brooch like this?
A: A brooch of this size is easy to wear on a jacket lapel, wool coat, cashmere knit, denim shirt or scarf. For the cleanest look, place it on a structured area of the garment so it sits flat and feels secure.

Q: Will the pin damage delicate clothing?
A: Any brooch pin can leave a tiny hole, so it is best suited to thicker or more structured fabrics such as wool, tweed, denim or heavier knitwear. Use extra care with delicate silk, chiffon or very loose knits.

Q: How should I care for the silver-tone metal and pearlescent inlay?
A: Apply fragrance, hairspray and cosmetics before putting the brooch on. After wear, wipe it gently with a soft dry cloth and keep it away from water, humidity, soap and harsh cleaning products. Store it separately to help minimise scratches.

Q: Does this item come with anything extra?
A: The product information states that this piece comes with no accessories.

Q: Do vintage Chanel brooches usually have a signature or stamp?
A: Many vintage Chanel jewellery pieces, especially later examples, have a discreet signature plate or stamp on the back, although placement and format can vary by era. If you would like that detail confirmed for this exact piece, it is best to request a close-up of the reverse.
