ChanelCC Caviar Flap Bag

Q: What colour and leather is this Chanel CC Caviar Flap Bag?
A: This bag is black and is identified as the CC Caviar Flap Bag in the product information.

Q: What are the dimensions of this bag?
A: The bag measures 32 cm wide × 27 cm high × 9 cm deep. Use these measurements when comparing it with a bag you already own rather than relying on a standard Chanel size name.

Q: What can I fit inside this bag?
A: Its dimensions suggest room for everyday essentials such as a mobile phone, wallet, keys and a small cosmetics pouch. Actual capacity depends on the interior layout and the size of your belongings. Laptop fit has not been confirmed, and the exterior measurements do not guarantee that a particular device will fit.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: This piece is listed as a shoulder bag, with a strap measurement of 33 cm. The product information does not specify whether this is the strap length or drop, so crossbody suitability cannot be confirmed. Check the fit with A Retro Tale if crossbody wear is important to you.

Q: What condition is this vintage bag in?
A: It is in Very Good Condition. The exterior has minor scratches and visible wear on the corners, while the interior shows light traces of use. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: When and where was this Chanel bag made?
A: The supplied serial number information, 4******, dates this piece to 1996–1997. Its country of origin is listed as France.

Q: Does this bag come with a dust bag, box or authenticity card?
A: The product information lists a dust bag and serial number tag. A box and authenticity card are not listed as included.

Q: Is this bag suitable for everyday use?
A: It can be considered for carrying everyday essentials, provided its size and shoulder fit suit your needs. As this vintage piece already has visible corner wear, avoid overfilling it and take care to limit rubbing against rough surfaces.

Q: How should I clean the bag, and what should I do if it gets wet?
A: Gently use a soft cloth and avoid cleaning products that could alter the finish. Protect the bag from prolonged moisture and sunlight. If it gets wet, carefully blot the affected area with an absorbent, non-pilling cloth. For stains or restoration, seek advice from CHANEL or a specialist rather than attempting a home treatment.

Q: How should I store this vintage Chanel bag?
A: Store it upright in its dust bag, away from prolonged light and moisture. Lightly fill it with tissue paper to support its shape, and wrap any straps or chains in tissue paper to help prevent marks on the leather.
