A: The recorded width is 22 cm and the depth is 6 cm. Please contact A Retro Tale to confirm the height if you need complete measurements before purchasing.

* Please note that when you buy a vintage product, the dimensions may vary slightly from a new one depending on previous care and storage.

Q: What is the difference between a single flap and a double flap bag?
A: A single flap bag has one outer flap, without the additional inner flap found in a double flap design. This Chanel Classic Single Flap Bag is listed as the single flap version.

Q: When was this Chanel bag made?
A: The product information dates this bag to 1997–1999 and lists its partially concealed serial number as 05******.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: This bag is graded Good Condition. The exterior has scuffing and wear on the corners, the interior shows light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. Please review the photographs alongside these condition details.

Q: What colour is this bag, and where was it made?
A: This bag is black, and its country of origin is listed as France.

Q: What are the dimensions of this bag?
A: The recorded width is 22 cm and the depth is 6 cm. Please contact A Retro Tale to confirm the height if you need complete measurements before purchasing.

Q: What can I fit inside this bag?

Q: What accessories are included?
A: The product information lists a serial number tag. A box, dust bag and authenticity card are not listed, so please do not assume they are included.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate its bags?
A: A Retro Tale states that its items undergo detailed review by trained experts with specialist brand knowledge. Their checks include stitching, handles and other construction details. The serial number should be considered alongside these checks, rather than as proof of authenticity on its own.

Q: How should I care for and store this vintage Chanel bag?
A: Use a soft cloth and avoid cleaning products that could alter the finish. Protect the bag from prolonged sunlight and moisture; if it gets wet, gently blot it with an absorbent, non-pilling cloth. Store it upright in a protective pouch, with tissue paper around any straps or chains to prevent marks, and avoid overfilling it. As the material is not specified, seek specialist advice before using leather treatments.
