Q: What are the dimensions of this Chanel Matelasse Card Holder?
A: This piece measures approximately 10 x 7 x 0.5 cm. Its slim profile makes it easy to slip into smaller handbags, evening bags or a coat pocket.

Q: What typically fits inside this card holder?
A: It is best suited to everyday essentials such as bank cards, an ID and a few folded notes. As with most slim Chanel card holders, it is designed to stay compact rather than replace a full wallet.

Q: Can it hold coins as well as cards?
A: This piece is listed with card slots and fabric lining, but no zipped coin section is noted. It is therefore better suited to cards and folded cash than loose coins.

Q: Is this a vintage Chanel piece?
A: Yes. This card holder is listed as vintage, and it comes with a serial number tag and authenticity card, which is consistent with Chanel pieces produced before the newer microchip era.

Q: What does the serial number 12056721 tell me?
A: Chanel serial numbers in the 12 series are generally associated with production around 2008-2009. The serial number is useful for dating the item, although authenticity is always judged together with materials, construction and finishing details.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: The product information for this piece includes the box, serial number tag and authenticity card.

Q: What condition is the card holder in?
A: Overall, it is in good condition. The exterior has scuffed corners and trim, the interior shows light traces of use, and the silver-tone hardware is still shiny but has scratches and slight discolouration.

Q: How should I care for vintage Chanel quilted leather?
A: Gently wipe it with a soft dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaning products. To help preserve the leather and shape, do not overfill it, keep it away from prolonged sunlight and moisture, and if it gets damp, blot it carefully with an absorbent cloth rather than rubbing.

Q: Is it made in France?
A: Yes. The country of origin label states France.

Q: Will it fit easily inside smaller bags?
A: Yes. With a width of 10 cm and a very slim depth of 0.5 cm, this is a practical choice if you want a compact Chanel piece for mini or small handbags.
