Q: What are the dimensions of this Chanel Perfect Day Tote Bag?
A: This bag measures approximately 36 x 25 x 17 cm, with a strap drop of around 18 cm. It is a roomy day tote that offers useful capacity while still sitting neatly under the arm.

Q: What typically fits inside this bag?
A: The Perfect Day Tote is well suited to daily essentials such as a long wallet, phone, sunglasses case, keys, cosmetics pouch, and a small water bottle. With its structured tote shape, it can also suit extras like a compact umbrella or notebook, depending on how you pack.

Q: Will it fit a laptop?
A: It may fit a small tablet or some slim 13-inch laptops, but we recommend comparing your device to the listed measurements before purchasing. Because this is a structured vintage design, the opening shape can affect how easily larger items slide in and out.

Q: Is it comfortable to carry on the shoulder?
A: Yes, this style is designed with dual chain and leather shoulder straps, and the 18 cm drop is generally comfortable for shoulder wear. It should sit well over light to medium layers, though it may feel a little snug over heavier coats.

Q: How is the bag organised inside?
A: The Perfect Day Tote is known for its practical, organised layout, and this piece has a black quilted fabric lining with a push-lock closure. This style is especially appreciated by buyers who want a structured tote with better separation than a single open compartment.

Q: What does the serial number 11****** mean?
A: A Chanel serial number beginning with 11 indicates production from around 2006 to 2008, which matches the dating noted in the product information. That places this bag firmly within the vintage era.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: This piece is listed in good condition. The exterior shows visible discolouration and scuffing to the leather, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: The product information lists a dust bag, and the bag also has its serial number present. If an item is not specifically mentioned in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: Does this bag come with an authenticity card?
A: An authenticity card is not listed in the product information for this piece. For vintage Chanel, inclusion can vary, so the safest guide is always the product information shown on this page.

Q: How should I care for vintage Chanel leather and hardware?
A: Store the bag in a dust bag, keep it away from prolonged sunlight, heat, and moisture, and avoid overfilling it so it keeps its shape. For routine care, wipe the leather gently with a soft dry cloth and handle the chain straps carefully to minimise rubbing and surface wear.

Q: How do you authenticate this Chanel bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully authenticated by experts using detailed checks of materials, construction, hardware, stamps, and serial details. We stand behind the authenticity of the pieces we sell.
