ChanelTrendy Wallet on Chain Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Chanel Trendy Wallet on Chain?
A: With approximate measurements of 19 × 13 × 3 cm, it’s designed for the essentials: a large smartphone, a slim cardholder or compact wallet, keys, lipstick and slim sunglasses in a soft case. Capacity is modest due to the sleek profile, so flatter items pack best.

Q: Will an iPhone Pro/Pro Max fit?
A: Yes—most recent Pro/Max phones fit without bulky cases. If your case is thick or has an attached grip, we recommend switching to a slimmer case to maximise space and preserve the silhouette.

Q: Can I wear it crossbody and is the chain strap adjustable?
A: Yes, it’s commonly worn on the shoulder or crossbody. The strap on this specific item has an approximate drop of 34 cm when doubled and 60 cm when single. Chanel WOC chains are not adjustable; some owners shorten the drop by looping the chain inside, but avoid prolonged pressure on the leather to minimise imprints.

Q: Is the chain strap removable?
A: On most Wallet on Chain models the chain is fixed and non‑removable. A few seasonal versions have featured detachable chains, but this is uncommon.

Q: How secure is the closure and what is the interior layout?
A: This piece features a flap with CC turn‑lock closure for everyday security. Interiors typically include multiple compartments with card slots, a slip pocket and a zipped pocket for valuables; configurations vary by season, so please refer to our photos for the exact layout of this bag.

Q: Will it fit a continental wallet or a small tablet/e‑reader?
A: Full‑length continental wallets generally don’t fit comfortably, and compact tablets or e‑readers are usually a squeeze given the 19 × 13 × 3 cm silhouette. A slim cardholder is recommended to optimise space.

Q: What distinguishes the Trendy CC WOC from other Chanel WOCs?
A: The Trendy CC line is known for its refined details and signature logo‑plate aesthetic from the family, paired with classic Chanel quilting and a chain‑interwoven strap. The WOC format offers an elegant, evening‑ready size while retaining practical interior organisation.

Q: How should I care for the quilted leather and gold‑tone hardware?
A: Keep the bag away from moisture and oils, and be mindful of colour transfer from dark denim. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth; use a high‑quality neutral leather conditioner very sparingly and only after testing on a discreet area. Store it upright, lightly stuffed, in a breathable dust bag, and tuck/pad the chain to prevent impressions on the leather. Avoid overfilling to maintain the slim profile.

Q: Does this bag have a serial number or a microchip? Will it come with an authenticity card?
A: Chanel transitioned from hologram serial stickers and authenticity cards to embedded microchips from around 2021. Newer bags won’t include a card, and microchip data can be read only with Chanel’s boutique devices. Older pieces may still have a hologram sticker and card if present. We’re happy to confirm what applies to this exact item.

Q: What accessories are included with this listing?
A: This specific piece is delivered without accessories (no box, dust bag or card). Any inclusions are always listed under “Accessories”—if an item isn’t mentioned there, it isn’t included.

Q: How do you authenticate this item?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes rigorous, multi‑point authentication by our in‑house experts, assessing materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, serial sticker/microchip and overall construction. We stand behind the authenticity of all pieces we sell.
