Gucci1955 Medium Horsebit Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Gucci 1955 Medium Horsebit Bag?
A: This medium size is well suited to everyday essentials. With measurements of 25 x 19 x 9 cm, it will typically fit a phone, long wallet, keys, sunglasses, small cosmetics and other daily necessities. Gucci’s medium Horsebit 1955 format is generally considered roomy enough for essentials without feeling bulky, but please refer to the measurements on this page for the exact size of this item.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: Yes. The adjustable strap on this piece measures 25–45 cm, so it offers flexible wear depending on your height and styling preference. Most owners use this format comfortably as a shoulder bag, and many can also wear it as a shorter crossbody.

Q: What makes the Gucci 1955 Horsebit design so recognisable?
A: The signature feature is the Horsebit hardware on the front, inspired by Gucci’s equestrian heritage. The 1955 line reworks an archival house design, which is why it is often chosen for its timeless, heritage-led look rather than a trend-driven silhouette.

Q: Is this a practical everyday bag?
A: Yes, this model is widely appreciated for combining a structured shape with useful day-to-day capacity. The medium format gives more room than the smaller Horsebit 1955 styles while still keeping a polished, classic profile that works well from daytime to evening.

Q: What is the condition of this particular bag?
A: This item is in very good condition overall. The exterior and interior are both noted as excellent with light traces of use, while the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. As with all pre-owned pieces, minor signs of wear are part of the item’s character.

Q: What is included with this bag?
A: This item comes with product information including a dust bag, extra buttons and a care booklet. If you would like confirmation of everything included, please refer to the product information on this page.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: According to the product data, this bag was made in Italy.

Q: How should I care for a Gucci Horsebit 1955 bag like this?
A: To help preserve the bag, wipe it gently with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth, avoid overfilling, and keep it away from prolonged direct sunlight, moisture and rough surfaces. When not in use, store it in its dust bag and lightly stuff it to help maintain its shape. Extra care is recommended around the trim and hardware to minimise scratches and wear.
