GucciGG Marmont Accordion Shoulder Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the GG Marmont Accordion Shoulder Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 28 × 20 × 5 cm, it comfortably holds a large smartphone, a continental wallet, keys, sunglasses in a soft case and a small cosmetics pouch. Slim tablets such as an iPad mini or an e‑reader may fit, but A4 documents and laptops will not. Capacity varies with organisers and case sizes—please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Can I wear it crossbody as well as on the shoulder?
A: Yes. The sliding chain strap with a leather shoulder detail allows multiple carries. The strap drop is approximately 50 cm on this piece, which suits both shoulder and crossbody wear for many heights.

Q: Is the strap adjustable?
A: There are no buckle holes, but you can shorten the drop by doubling the chain under the flap or by tucking part of the chain inside. Take care not to over‑stuff the bag when doing this to avoid impressions on the leather.

Q: How is the interior organised?
A: The Accordion construction offers two main compartments separated by a central zipped pocket, plus an internal slip pocket. It’s designed to keep daily essentials neatly organised without feeling bulky.

Q: Does this style have the heart detail on the back?
A: Yes. This GG Marmont in matelassé chevron leather features the signature stitched heart on the back, paired with antique gold‑toned Double G hardware on the front.

Q: What is the closure like?
A: It has a push‑lock flap closure, which is quick to open yet secure when closed—ideal for daily use and travel.

Q: How should I care for the leather and lining?
A: Wipe the leather with a soft, dry cloth and keep it away from water, oils, cosmetics and prolonged direct sunlight or heat. Store the bag loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag to maintain its shape. For the beige microfibre lining, gently shake out debris or use a clean lint roller; avoid harsh cleaners. Allow any moisture to dry naturally before storing.

Q: Will the hardware tarnish or scratch?
A: The bag features antique gold‑toned hardware designed to have an aged look. Light surface scratches from normal wear are expected; simply wipe with a soft dry cloth and avoid abrasive products or polishes.

Q: Where is the serial number and how is authenticity verified?
A: Gucci bags typically include an internal leather tag with a two‑line serial/style number. Some newer Gucci items may also include an NFC authenticity tag that can be scanned with the Gucci app. Every item at A Retro Tale is thoroughly authenticated by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks before listing.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: This piece comes with a box, as listed under Accessories. If an item such as a dust bag or authenticity card is not shown there, it is not included—feel free to contact us for confirmation.

Q: What is the condition of this pre‑loved bag?
A: External condition is good with slightly scuffed corners. The interior shows light traces of use with some stains on the lining, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. Please review the photos for full details.
