Q: What are the measurements and what typically fits inside?
A: The Soho Disco is a compact crossbody at approximately 20 × 15 × 8 cm. It comfortably holds a large smartphone, a compact wallet or cardholder, keys, sunglasses (in a soft pouch), and a few small cosmetics. Capacity varies with how you pack—please refer to the Measurements on this page for the exact dimensions of this item.

Q: Is the strap adjustable and can I wear it crossbody?
A: Yes. It has a single adjustable shoulder strap with an approximate 55 cm drop at the longest setting, designed for crossbody or on-shoulder wear. Most heights find it sits around the hip when worn crossbody; you can shorten it for a higher carry.

Q: Is the Gucci Soho Disco still in production?
A: The Soho Disco line is widely regarded as discontinued at Gucci. It remains highly sought-after on the resale market, and elements of its boxy, tasselled design live on in later Gucci lines. Availability today is primarily through trusted pre-owned specialists like A Retro Tale.

Q: What is the bag made of and how is the interior laid out?
A: It is crafted from grained (pebbled) leather with a zip closure finished with a leather tassel. The interior of this specific piece is fabric-lined and includes one internal pocket for quick-grab items.

Q: Will this beige colour show colour transfer from denim or dark fabrics?
A: Light leathers can pick up dye from dark clothing, especially new denim. To minimise transfer, avoid prolonged friction against dark, non–colourfast fabrics, rotate carry sides, and wipe the leather after wear with a soft, dry cloth. Consider pre-treating denim or pairing with lighter garments.

Q: How should I care for the pebbled leather and tassel?
A: Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Keep away from oils, alcohol-based products, and prolonged direct sunlight or rain. Store loosely stuffed in its dust bag with the strap and tassel tucked inside to prevent pulling or creasing. Use a neutral leather conditioner sparingly and only when needed; for stains or deep cleaning, consult a professional leather specialist.

Q: Does this model have a serial number and how do you verify authenticity?
A: Authentic Soho Disco bags typically have a leather brand tag inside with a two-line serial/style code on the reverse. At A Retro Tale, every item undergoes multi-point authentication by our in-house experts, examining materials, stitching, stamps, hardware, and codes. We stand behind the authenticity of all items and can share additional verification details on request.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed in the product information section. For this specific bag, a dust bag is included. If an item such as a box or card is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: What is the condition of this specific bag?
A: Condition is graded Good. The exterior shows light signs of use; the interior lining has noticeable marks and stains; the hardware remains shiny with light surface scratches. Please review images and the condition notes for full details.

Q: Do tassels on the Soho Disco require special care or replacement over time?
A: With regular use, the tassel strands can soften and show wear. Storing the tassel inside the bag and avoiding snagging helps maintain its shape. If a tassel becomes damaged, some leather specialists can tidy or replace components; brand repair options vary by part availability and age of the model.
