Q: What are the measurements and what does this bag hold day to day?
A: This piece measures approximately 24 × 32 × 15 cm with long flat leather handles. It comfortably fits daily essentials such as a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses case, a small water bottle and a cosmetics pouch, plus a tablet around 11 inches. Capacity will vary depending on how you pack and the shape of your items.

Q: Will a 13-inch laptop or A4 documents fit in the Small Cushion Tote?
A: A 13-inch laptop (around 30.4 × 21.2 cm) is a tight fit and not recommended for regular use in this size; it may only slide in horizontally without a protective sleeve, which can strain the sides. Slim A4 papers or a light folder can fit placed horizontally, but the height is snug and may brush the top edge. For frequent laptop carry, consider the Medium or Large Cushion Tote instead.

Q: Does this model come with a shoulder strap?
A: No. The Cushion Tote is designed without a detachable strap. It is carried by its dual flat leather handles, which many find comfortable in hand or on the shoulder depending on build and layers.

Q: How secure is the closure on this bag?
A: This specific piece closes with a magnetic snap. Many Cushion Tote variations also include leather tie fastenings to draw the sides together. Inside slip pockets help keep smaller items in place.

Q: What is the interior like?
A: The bag has a striped (herringbone-style) canvas lining with multiple interior slip pockets for organisation. Small Cushion models commonly feature four slip pockets to separate essentials.

Q: Can the Cushion Tote be flattened for travel or storage?
A: Yes. The flexible side construction allows the bag to lie flatter when empty, making it convenient to pack in a suitcase or store neatly on a shelf.

Q: What are the knotted leather straps at the corners for?
A: They are a signature design detail of the Cushion line and a nod to Loewe’s craft heritage. They help define the silhouette and can be personalised with charms; they are not a functional shoulder strap.

Q: Where is this bag made?
A: Loewe produces the Cushion Tote in both Spain and Portugal depending on the edition and materials. This particular piece is labelled Portugal.

Q: How should I care for the canvas and leather trim?
A: Spot clean the canvas with a soft cloth slightly dampened with mild soap and water, then blot dry. Avoid soaking or machine washing. Keep leather trim dry; wipe with a clean cloth and condition sparingly with a suitable leather product. Store the bag lightly stuffed in its dust bag, away from direct sunlight and humidity.

Q: What accessories are included and how is authenticity guaranteed?
A: This item includes a dust bag as listed under Accessories. Every piece at A Retro Tale is rigorously authenticated by in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware and brand markings; we stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can share further details on request.
