Louis VuittonEPI Speedy 35 Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Epi Speedy 35 Bag?
A: This is a roomy handheld bag for daily use or light travel. With approximate measurements of 33 x 24 x 19 cm, it generally fits a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, a cosmetics pouch, charger, a small water bottle, and other everyday essentials. A slim 13-inch laptop or tablet may fit at an angle, but we recommend comparing your device to the listed measurements before relying on it as a work bag.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: No. This vintage Speedy 35 is designed to be carried by hand using its dual rolled handles, with an approximate handle drop of 10 cm. This item does not have a shoulder strap listed in the product information.

Q: Is the Speedy 35 better for everyday use or travel?
A: The Speedy 35 sits between an everyday handbag and a small travel bag. Many buyers choose this size when they want more room than a Speedy 25 or 30, while still keeping a classic, lightweight shape.

Q: What makes Epi leather a good choice?
A: Epi leather is known for its textured finish, structured feel, and good day-to-day durability. It is generally more resistant to visible scratches and light moisture than many smooth leathers, which makes it a practical choice for regular use.

Q: How should I care for vintage Epi leather?
A: Wipe the surface gently with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth, and avoid harsh cleaners, oils, or over-conditioning. To help preserve the shape, store the bag loosely stuffed in its dust bag and keep it away from prolonged heat, humidity, and direct sunlight.

Q: How is the interior organised?
A: This bag features one external slip pocket and one internal pocket, giving you simple organisation for smaller essentials you want to keep separate from the main compartment.

Q: What does the date code VI 0995 mean?
A: Louis Vuitton date codes from this era indicate where and when the bag was made. VI is a France factory code, and 0995 corresponds to September 1995. As with all Louis Vuitton pieces, a date code helps with identification but should not be used as the only proof of authenticity.

Q: What is the condition of this bag?
A: This item is listed in Very Good condition. The exterior shows visible wear on the corners, the interior has light traces of use, and the brass hardware remains shiny with light surface scratches.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: A dust bag is included. Everything included with the purchase is shown in the product information on this page; if something is not listed there, it should be considered not included.

Q: How do you check authenticity?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is inspected by in-house specialists using a multi-point review of materials, construction, hardware, stamps, and date codes, so you can shop pre-owned pieces with confidence.
