Louis VuittonLockMe II BB Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton LockMe II BB Bag?
A: This is a compact day-to-evening bag that generally fits the essentials, such as a phone, card holder or small wallet, keys, lipstick, and a few small personal items. With measurements of approximately 22 x 16 x 7 cm, it is best suited to light daily carry rather than bulky items.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: Yes. This item includes a detachable shoulder strap, giving you the option of hands-free wear as well as carrying it by the top handle. The listed strap drop is approximately 48 cm, and the handle drop is approximately 9 cm.

Q: Is the LockMe II BB considered a small bag?
A: Yes, the BB size is one of the smaller formats in the LockMe family. It is ideal if you prefer a structured, elegant bag for essentials rather than a larger everyday work bag.

Q: What is included with this bag?
A: According to the product information, this bag comes with a detachable shoulder strap. If any other extras are not listed in the product information, they should not be assumed to be included.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: This piece is listed in very good condition. The exterior has a light mark on the strap, the interior shows a light trace of use, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches.

Q: How should I care for this bag?
A: To keep it looking its best, store it in a cool, dry place, avoid overfilling, and keep it away from prolonged moisture, direct heat, and rough surfaces. For routine care, gently wipe the leather with a soft, dry cloth and handle the hardware carefully to minimise further scratching.

Q: Is the leather prone to scratches or marks?
A: LockMe bags are often appreciated for their refined leather and structured look, but buyers commonly ask about wear because smooth or softly grained leather can show scratches, scuffs, and pressure marks over time. This particular bag already has a light mark on the strap, which is reflected in the condition notes.

Q: What does the date code BC4156 mean?
A: Louis Vuitton date codes from this era typically indicate the production period rather than serving as a unique serial number. BC4156 generally corresponds to the 45th week of 2016. This item is listed in the product information as made in France.

Q: How do you authenticate this Louis Vuitton bag?
A: At A Retro Tale, all items are checked for authenticity by specialists who assess details such as construction, materials, hardware, stamps, and date code consistency. Date codes are helpful, but they are only one part of the overall authentication process.
