Louis VuittonMahina Cirrus PM Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Mahina Cirrus PM Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 43 × 27 × 19 cm, this is a roomy everyday bag. It will generally fit daily essentials such as a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, a cosmetics pouch, a compact umbrella and a small water bottle, with space left for a few extras. Because the shape is soft and slightly slouchy, capacity can vary depending on how you pack it, so please use the Measurements on this page as your best guide.

Q: Is the Cirrus PM best carried by hand or on the shoulder?
A: This PM size is usually best suited to hand or arm carry. It has dual top handles and an approximate 12 cm handle drop, so some wearers may be able to slip it onto the shoulder, but it tends to sit quite close and comfort will depend on build and outerwear.

Q: What is Mahina leather?
A: Mahina is Louis Vuitton’s soft calfskin leather with the Monogram motif perforated into the surface. It is known for its supple feel, elegant drape and more understated look compared with coated canvas styles.

Q: Is Mahina leather durable enough for regular use?
A: Yes, Mahina leather is generally considered durable for regular use, but it is still a soft luxury leather and should be treated with more care than coated canvas. It is best to avoid rough surfaces, heavy overfilling and repeated friction from dark or highly pigmented fabrics, which can increase the risk of scuffs or colour transfer.

Q: How should I care for this bag?
A: Keep the bag dry, avoid direct heat and prolonged sunlight, and clean surface marks gently with a soft damp cloth only. Avoid oils, perfumes, creams, hand sanitiser and commercial leather cleaners. When not in use, store it lightly stuffed in a breathable dust bag or pouch in a cool, ventilated place so the leather keeps its shape.

Q: Does this bag have a secure closure and internal organisation?
A: Yes. This bag features a front push-lock closure with a crossover strap, which offers a more secure feel than a fully open-top style. Inside, it has a tonal lining with one internal pocket for organising smaller essentials, and the base is finished with protective feet.

Q: What does the date code TJ2131 mean?
A: The date code TJ2131 indicates production in France in the 23rd week of 2011. On Louis Vuitton bags from this period, the two letters identify the factory location and the four numbers indicate the production week and year.

Q: Does the date code alone prove authenticity?
A: No. A date code is useful for indicating where and when a bag was made, but it should never be used as the only test of authenticity. Materials, stitching, hardware, stamping and overall construction should always be considered together.

Q: What is the condition of this specific piece?
A: This particular bag is listed in very good condition overall. The exterior and interior both show light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches consistent with careful previous wear.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: No additional product information items are listed with this piece. If you are looking for something specific such as a box, dust bag or extra strap, only what is stated in the product information should be considered included.
