Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Monogram Partition Pochette?
A: Despite its compact size, it generally holds a large smartphone (including many Pro/Max models without a bulky case), a slim cardholder or small wallet, keys, lipstick, AirPods, and a passport. Slim sunglasses in a soft sleeve may fit. Continental (long) wallets, small water bottles and tablets do not. Please compare your essentials with the Measurements listed (approx. 17 x 18 x 3 cm) or ask us for a tailored fit check for this exact piece.

Q: Is it wrist‑carry only, or can I wear it crossbody?
A: This style is a wristlet/mini pouch and includes a detachable wristlet strap (we list the drop under Measurements—approx. 14 cm for this piece). It isn’t designed for crossbody out of the box. Some owners attach a lightweight third‑party chain to the existing ring, but heavier hardware may mark the ring or stress the zipper area. We don’t recommend modifications that require adhesives or drilling—ask us if you’d like guidance based on this exact item.

Q: How secure is the closure and what compartments does it have?
A: It features a top zip closure for good day‑to‑day security plus one external pocket for quick‑access items. The interior is a single main compartment. For valuables, keep them zipped inside and avoid overfilling. Our listing photos show the exact layout of this piece.

Q: What materials is this piece made from?
A: This item is crafted in Monogram coated canvas with natural Vachetta leather trim, gold‑tone hardware and a red Alcantara (microfibre) lining. Our photos and description show the exact finish and details of this specific bag.

Q: Will my iPhone Pro/Max fit?
A: Most Pro/Max phones fit, typically placed vertically. Very thick or rugged cases can make the fit snug. For certainty, compare your device’s dimensions with the Measurements provided or ask us to perform a quick fit check against this exact bag.

Q: How should I care for the coated canvas, Vachetta leather and Alcantara lining?
A: Coated canvas is durable—wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners or alcohol‑based wipes. Vachetta is untreated and will develop a natural patina; keep it away from moisture, oils and dark denim to minimise water spots and colour transfer. For the Alcantara lining, tap out debris and use a clean, soft brush or lint roller; avoid saturating with liquid. Store the bag lightly stuffed, upright, in a breathable dust bag, and keep hardware from rubbing against the leather during storage to minimise imprints and hairline scratches.

Q: Is the Partition Pochette still produced?
A: This style is discontinued; it appears on the market as a vintage/pre‑loved piece. The pre‑loved market is the best way to find specific configurations like this Monogram wristlet version.

Q: Where are the brand markings and codes located, and how is dating handled?
A: You’ll find an interior heat‑stamp (e.g., “LOUIS VUITTON Paris” and the country of origin). Older pieces typically include a date code, often on a small leather tab or along an interior seam; from around 2021 LV transitioned to an embedded microchip instead of a visible code. Placement and format vary by era—contact us for close‑up photos of this item. Our listing indicates this piece is made in France.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: We list all included items under “Accessories.” For this piece we note a detachable wristlet strap. If an accessory (e.g., dust bag or box) isn’t mentioned there, it isn’t included—feel free to ask us to confirm.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag, and can Louis Vuitton service it?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes rigorous, multi‑point authentication by our in‑house experts, assessing materials, stitching, hardware, stamps and date code/microchip. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell. Louis Vuitton boutiques may offer repairs or part replacements (such as zippers or straps) subject to assessment and parts availability; costs and lead times vary. We’re happy to advise on typical options and help you prepare for a boutique assessment.
