Louis VuittonMonogram Saumur 35 Bag

Q: What are the measurements of this Saumur 35?
A: This bag measures approximately 32 cm wide, 31 cm high and 24 cm deep. These are the measurements of this particular pre-owned bag; its shape and usable interior space may differ from the overall dimensions.

Q: What fits inside?
A: The Saumur 35 is a roomy shoulder bag suited to everyday essentials such as a wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses and a small pouch, with space for additional items depending on how you pack. If you need to carry a tablet or laptop, compare its dimensions with the bag and bear in mind that the openings are narrower than the overall measurements.

Q: How is the bag organised and secured?
A: The classic Saumur design has two separate, saddle-style compartments with buckled flap closures. They help keep belongings organised, although opening a buckle takes longer than opening a zip.

Q: Can I wear it across the body?
A: The Saumur is designed for shoulder wear and may also sit across the body, depending on your height and preferred fit. The strap measurement listed for this bag is 42 cm; check it against a bag you own if cross-body wear is important to you.

Q: What condition is this particular bag in?
A: It is listed in good condition, with light traces of use on both the exterior and interior. The hardware is shiny with light scratches. Please review the product photographs for a closer look at its individual condition.

Q: What does the code AR0991 mean?
A: Using the Louis Vuitton date-code format associated with this period, AR0991 indicates production in France in September 1991. A date code helps identify a bag's production period but does not, on its own, establish authenticity.

Q: Does it come with a dust bag, box or other accessories?
A: No accessories are listed as included with this bag. Check the product information for what accompanies this particular item rather than assuming that original packaging is supplied.

Q: How should I care for the Monogram canvas and leather trim?
A: Gently wipe surface dirt from the coated canvas with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Keep the leather trim away from water, oils and alcohol-based products, and blot it promptly with a clean, absorbent cloth if it gets wet. Avoid harsh cleaners and store the bag away from heat and prolonged direct sunlight.

Q: How is a vintage Louis Vuitton bag assessed for authenticity?
A: Authentication should consider several details together, including materials, construction, stitching, hardware, stamps and whether the date code is consistent with the bag. A date code alone is not proof of authenticity.
