Q: What size is this Prada Tessuto Weekend Bag?
A: This bag measures approximately 48 cm wide, 30 cm high and 16 cm deep, with a handle drop of 17 cm and a strap drop of 38 cm. It is a practical weekend size that offers good capacity without being overly bulky.

Q: What typically fits inside this bag?
A: A bag of this size is well suited to short trips and can typically hold a few changes of clothes, toiletries, a pair of flats or lightweight shoes, and everyday essentials. Exact capacity depends on how you pack, so please use the measurements on this page as your best guide.

Q: Can this bag be used as a cabin or carry-on bag?
A: In many cases, yes. At 48 cm wide, it is generally within the size range often accepted for cabin travel or as a small weekender, but airline allowances vary. We always recommend checking your airline’s current baggage rules before travelling.

Q: What is Tessuto, and why is it popular?
A: Tessuto is Prada’s iconic nylon fabric, known for being lightweight, durable and easy to wear. It became especially popular because it combines a sleek luxury look with practical everyday function, making it a favourite for travel and daily use alike.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Prada Tessuto bag?
A: For routine care, gently wipe the bag with a soft, dry cloth and store it in a breathable place away from heat and moisture. Avoid harsh chemicals, soaking, or unauthorised repairs. As this is a vintage item, careful handling will help preserve both the nylon and the hardware.

Q: Is this bag heavy?
A: Tessuto bags are generally appreciated for being lighter than many full-leather travel bags. That makes this style especially convenient for weekends away, commuting or carrying for longer periods.

Q: What condition is this item in?
A: This bag is listed in Very Good condition. The exterior shows light scuffs, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches. These are normal signs of gentle wear and are part of the character of a vintage piece.

Q: What is included with the bag?
A: Included items are shown in the product information. If you would like to confirm exactly what comes with the bag before purchasing, please refer to the product information on this page.

Q: Is this an authentic Prada bag?
A: Yes. A Retro Tale specialises in authentic luxury vintage and second-hand designer pieces, and every item is vetted for authenticity. Prada Tessuto bags are often checked through details such as materials, logo plaque, lining, construction and hardware consistency.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: According to the product data, this bag was made in Italy.
