Q: What do the size numbers 63 x 16 x 135 mean?
A: These measurements refer to the frame fit: 63 mm lens width, 16 mm bridge width, and 135 mm temple length. This is a relatively bold, sporty size, so it generally suits those who prefer a larger sunglass look or broader coverage.

Q: Will these sunglasses fit comfortably?
A: They feature adjustable nose pads, which help fine-tune the fit and reduce slipping. The black rubber temple accents can also help with comfort and grip during wear. As fit is personal, we recommend comparing the 63 x 16 x 135 measurements with a pair you already own.

Q: Are the lenses suitable for everyday wear or driving?
A: The brown tinted lenses are a versatile choice for bright daytime conditions and can be especially comfortable for general outdoor wear. Many people also like brown-tinted lenses for driving in daylight, but sunglasses should not be used for night driving.

Q: Are these sunglasses polarised?
A: Polarisation is not stated in the product information. If this feature is essential for you, please contact us before purchasing and we will be happy to assist further.

Q: What condition are these sunglasses in?
A: They are listed in Very Good Condition with light traces of use. The frame and lenses show light wear, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches, which is consistent with careful previous use on a vintage item.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This item includes a case. Everything included is shown in the product information; if something is not listed there, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: Can the nose pads be adjusted or replaced?
A: Yes. Because this pair has adjustable nose pads on a metal frame, minor fit adjustments are usually possible. Replacement nose pads may also be possible depending on the fitting style, though we recommend having adjustments carried out carefully by an optician to avoid damage.

Q: How should I care for vintage metal-frame sunglasses?
A: Clean them gently with a soft microfibre cloth and suitable lens cleaner. Store them in the case when not in use, avoid tossing them into a bag loose, and put them on and take them off using both arms to help maintain alignment over time.

Q: How can I confirm the model details on the frame?
A: Ray-Ban frames typically carry identifying markings on the inner temple, including the model code and size information. On this pair, the listed model is Rayban x Phiten Racing RB8040, and the product size is 63 x 16 x 135.

Q: How do you authenticate vintage Ray-Ban sunglasses?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully checked by in-house experts. We assess details such as construction, materials, finish, markings, and overall consistency to ensure the item is authentic before it is offered for sale.
