Q: Is this Cartier Love Bracelet authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: Is the Cartier Love Bracelet solid gold or plated? What colours does it come in?
A: The Love bracelet is crafted in solid 18‑karat gold (stamped 750), not plated. Cartier offers yellow, rose and white gold versions. This listing is for an 18kt gold Love bracelet; please review the photos and description for the exact gold colour, or message us and we’ll confirm.

Q: How does it fasten, and do I need a screwdriver?
A: Love bracelets use a signature screw‑closure. Depending on the generation, one half is hinged and the other secures with one or two screws. A dedicated screwdriver is typically used to open/close it. Please check the close‑up images to see the exact closure on this piece, or contact us and we’ll confirm.

Q: How do I find my size?
A: Cartier sizes the Love bracelet by inner circumference in centimetres (commonly 15–21). Measure your wrist snugly and add 1 cm for a close fit or 2 cm for a looser fit. Example: a 16 cm wrist usually takes size 17 for a regular fit. If you’d like us to confirm the precise size, inner circumference and width of this bracelet, just ask and we’ll measure it for you.

Q: Can a Love bracelet be resized?
A: No—Love bracelets cannot be resized. Choosing the correct size is essential. If you’re between sizes or prefer a specific fit, we’re happy to guide you using exact measurements from this piece.

Q: Is it comfortable for everyday wear? Can I shower, swim or sleep in it?
A: Many owners wear their Love bracelet daily. 18k gold is durable, but to preserve finish we recommend removing it for swimming (chlorine/salt), sauna, contact sports and heavy gym sessions. Occasional showering won’t harm gold, yet soaps and cosmetics can dull the shine—rinse and dry thoroughly if exposed. Sleeping in it is common; ensure the fit isn’t too tight.

Q: Will it scratch, and can Cartier polish it?
A: Hairline scratches and gentle patina are normal with wear, especially on high‑contact areas. Cartier offers professional cleaning and polishing; note that polishing removes a tiny amount of metal, so it’s best done sparingly over the lifetime of the bracelet. Day‑to‑day care: wipe with a soft, dry microfibre cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners or chemical dips.

Q: What hallmarks should I expect on an authentic Love bracelet?
A: Typical markings include CARTIER, the metal fineness (750), a unique serial number, size, and relevant hallmarks. Stamps are usually on the inner surface and can vary slightly by era. Our listing photos show any available hallmarks; we verify them during authentication.

Q: What accessories are included (screwdriver, box, papers)?
A: Only accessories specifically shown or listed (e.g., Cartier box, pouch, screwdriver, papers) are included. Pre‑owned pieces may not come with all original extras—please review the contents and images, or ask us to confirm.

Q: Can I wear it through airport security or for medical scans?
A: Airport security is usually fine, but staff may ask you to remove metal jewellery. For medical procedures such as MRI, you will typically need to remove it. If you plan to travel or require scans, keep a suitable screwdriver handy or schedule removal beforehand.

Q: Can I return it if it doesn’t suit?
A: Yes—returns are accepted in line with our policy. Please see our Returns page for eligibility and timeframes, and ensure the bracelet is returned in the same condition received. Review the high‑resolution photos and condition notes before purchase; we’re happy to provide additional measurements or images on request.
