Q: What is the Cartier Santos Demoiselle Ref. 2698?
A: It’s a petite, Swiss‑made ladies’ wristwatch featuring a 20mm square stainless‑steel case and bracelet, a cream dial with Roman numerals, blued‑steel hands, and Cartier’s signature sapphire cabochon set into the crown. This piece is delivered as a full set with its original box and papers, offering understated everyday elegance.

Q: What are the dimensions and how does it wear?
A: The case measures 20mm across and is around 6mm thick, giving a slim, refined profile. It wears small and elegant—ideal for petite wrists or anyone who prefers a discreet, classic look.

Q: What movement does the Santos Demoiselle typically use?
A: Many Santos Demoiselle models are powered by a Swiss quartz movement for precise, low‑maintenance timekeeping. Variations exist across references; if you’d like us to confirm the movement in this specific watch, please contact us and we’ll verify it for you.

Q: How do I set the time on this watch?
A: Gently pull the crown out to the time‑setting position and turn the hands to the desired time (anti‑clockwise or clockwise). When finished, push the crown back in firmly to ensure it’s fully seated. Avoid forcing the crown and always handle it with care.

Q: Is it water‑resistant and can I swim with it?
A: Water resistance on vintage/pre‑owned watches cannot be guaranteed without recent servicing and pressure testing. We recommend avoiding swimming, showering or submersion. Keep the crown fully pushed in, and if moisture resistance is important, have the gaskets inspected and replaced by an authorised watchmaker and the watch pressure‑tested.

Q: What type of crystal does it have?
A: Most Santos models are fitted with scratch‑resistant sapphire crystals. If you’d like us to confirm the crystal type on this particular piece, please let us know and we will verify it for you.

Q: Will the bracelet fit my wrist, and can it be resized?
A: The bracelet is listed at approximately 16.5cm. The bracelet can typically be adjusted by adding or removing links; additional links may be sourced subject to availability. Share your wrist measurement and we’ll advise on fit and sizing options.

Q: What’s included and is it authentic?
A: This listing is delivered as a full set with original box and certificate/papers. A Retro Tale rigorously authenticates every item and guarantees 100% originality for your peace of mind.

Q: What warranty, shipping and returns do you offer?
A: We provide a 12‑month movement warranty on all watches, free insured DHL shipping, 0% customs fees for EU buyers, and a 14‑day return policy. Please contact us for any specific delivery or warranty questions.

Q: How should I care for the watch and when might it need service?
A: Wipe it after wear with a soft microfibre cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners, strong chemicals, perfumes and magnets. For quartz models, expect typical battery life around 2–3 years (have the battery replaced by a professional who can check seals). As with any fine watch, periodic servicing is recommended, or sooner if you notice condensation, timekeeping issues or reduced performance.
