Q: What typically fits inside this Chanel CC Quilted Camera Bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 18 × 15 × 8 cm, it comfortably holds a large smartphone, compact wallet or card holder, keys, small cosmetics (lipstick/compact), and earbuds. Sunglasses can fit in a slim sleeve. Please compare your items to the Measurements listed on this page for the best guidance.

Q: Can I wear it crossbody?
A: The single flat shoulder strap has an approximate 50 cm drop. On many frames this wears as a shoulder bag and as a shorter crossbody; exact placement varies by height and torso length. The strap is not adjustable.

Q: Is the strap adjustable or removable?
A: No. This vintage style features a fixed, non‑removable flat leather strap designed for shoulder or short crossbody wear.

Q: What does the serial number 2771637 mean?
A: This is a 2‑series Chanel serial, which corresponds to production in the early 1990s (approximately 1991–1994). This aligns with the vintage status of the bag. Serial numbers indicate a production period but are not, on their own, proof of authenticity.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information section. For this piece, it includes a serial number tag. If an item such as a dust bag or authenticity card is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: Is the hardware real gold?
A: Many vintage Chanel bags produced before the late 2000s featured gold‑plated hardware. For this specific item, we list gold‑tone hardware; plating type is not specified. Please review the photos and product information for the most accurate details.

Q: How should I care for the beige lambskin leather?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, non‑pilling cloth and avoid harsh products. Keep away from prolonged sunlight, heat, and humidity. Store upright in a breathable pouch, lightly padded to help it keep its shape. To reduce the look of superficial marks on lambskin, gently buff in small circular motions. Light colours can be sensitive to colour transfer from dark fabrics, so take care when wearing with denim and saturated textiles.

Q: Will it fit a long continental wallet or a water bottle?
A: It fits compact wallets easily. Most long continental wallets (around 19 cm) are a tight fit and may not fit comfortably. Standard water bottles are generally too tall; we do not recommend carrying them inside this style.

Q: What are the interior features and closure?
A: It has a top zip closure for secure storage, a front flap pocket for quick‑access items, and a tan leather‑lined interior with one internal zip pocket.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate this bag?
A: Every item is rigorously checked by our specialists using multi‑point inspections of materials, stitching, stamps, serials, and hardware. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and are happy to provide additional product information on request.
