Q: What typically fits in this Chanel Cambon card holder?
A: With compact dimensions of approximately 11 × 8 × 1 cm, it comfortably holds 4–6 standard cards plus a few folded banknotes or receipts in the centre compartment. For longevity, avoid overfilling as this can stretch the leather over time.

Q: How many slots does this model have?
A: This Cambon card holder has one main compartment and two exterior card slots, making it ideal for daily essentials while staying slim in a pocket or mini bag.

Q: Can it hold coins?
A: It is designed for cards and folded notes. Loose coins are not recommended as they can bulk out the piece and mark the lining; a separate coin pouch is a better option.

Q: Is the Cambon Ligne still produced by Chanel?
A: The Cambon Ligne was introduced in the early 2000s and is no longer produced new at Chanel boutiques. Pieces appear on the pre-owned market and are considered vintage.

Q: What does the serial number 9291635 indicate?
A: Chanel 7‑digit serial numbers starting with 9 correspond to the 9 series, produced circa 2004–2005. This aligns with the Cambon era. Chanel later moved from stickers/cards to microchip plates from 2021 onward.

Q: How should I care for the quilted leather and pink lining?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp, lint‑free cloth and let it air dry. Do not overfill. To minimise the risk of colour transfer, avoid prolonged contact between light and dark colours and keep the interior clear of printed/inked items. Store in a breathable dust bag away from heat and humidity.

Q: Will the pink interior show colour transfer?
A: Light interiors can show dye transfer from dark denim, coloured leathers, or printed receipts. Keep cards and notes clean and dry, and avoid storing freshly dyed or dark items against the lining for extended periods.

Q: Does it fit in mini bags or a trouser pocket?
A: Yes. Its slim profile and small footprint are designed to slip into mini bags and most pockets while keeping essentials organised.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed in the product information. For this piece, a serial number tag is included; if an item such as a box or authenticity card is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate this item?
A: Every piece is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, and serial numbers. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and are happy to share additional photos or details on request.
