Q: How big is the Small Neo Executive and what typically fits inside?
A: Approximate measurements are 32 × 22 × 13 cm with an 11 cm handle drop and an about 48 cm strap drop. It comfortably fits an A4 document placed horizontally, an 11-inch tablet, long wallet, phone, keys and a small cosmetics pouch. A slim 13-inch laptop may fit in the open compartments but can be a tight squeeze due to the structured top; please compare your device dimensions to the Measurements on this page.

Q: Can I wear it crossbody or is it better as a shoulder bag?
A: The detachable strap on this piece has an approximate 48 cm drop, which usually wears as a shoulder strap sitting around the waist to high-hip on most heights. Typical crossbody drops are longer, so crossbody carry will feel shorter and may suit more petite frames best.

Q: Is the shoulder strap adjustable and detachable?
A: The Neo Executive line was introduced with a removable shoulder strap, and some versions have light adjustability. This specific bag includes a detachable strap with an approximately 48 cm drop as listed; length and hole configuration can vary by piece.

Q: How is the interior organised and what are the closures?
A: The bag features a front pocket with CC turn‑lock closure and a rear slip pocket. The main compartment is open at the top with a structured, partitioned interior that includes a central zipped divider and additional wall pockets for small items.

Q: What leather is this and how durable is it?
A: It is crafted from caviar leather (also called grained calfskin), known for its pebbled texture and resilience. Compared with smoother leathers, caviar is generally more scratch‑resistant and helps the bag hold its shape well with regular, mindful use.

Q: How should I care for the leather and hardware?
A: Avoid overfilling to preserve the silhouette, keep away from prolonged light and moisture, and wipe with a soft cloth if the surface gets damp. Store upright in a breathable pouch with light stuffing and keep straps and hardware from pressing into the leather. Routine, gentle wipe‑downs help maintain the finish; avoid harsh cleaners or oils.

Q: Is the Neo Executive still in production?
A: The Neo Executive debuted around the Cruise 2017 season and is no longer part of Chanel’s current boutique line, so it is now sourced on the pre‑owned market.

Q: What does the serial number 23904170 tell me about this piece?
A: This is a 23‑series code, which dates the bag to approximately 2016–2017 production. Serial numbers indicate a period rather than an exact month; they are one of several checkpoints used in authentication.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under Accessories for this listing. For this piece that is the detachable shoulder strap and the serial number tag. If an item such as a dust bag or authenticity card is not listed, it is not included.

Q: How do you authenticate items at A Retro Tale?
A: Every piece is assessed by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, construction, stitching, stamps, hardware and serials. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide additional photos or details on request.
