Q: What typically fits inside the Christian Dior Cannage Leather Coin Purse?
A: With approximate measurements of 9 × 9 × 2 cm, it is ideal for coins, folded banknotes, a few cards, and small essentials like a key fob. Capacity varies depending on how you pack—please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Will it fit in mini bags and pockets?
A: Yes. The compact square silhouette is designed to slip easily into most mini bags, clutches, and coat or trouser pockets.

Q: What is Dior’s Cannage motif?
A: Cannage is a Dior signature inspired by the woven cane of Napoleon III chairs that welcomed guests to the Maison’s early couture salons at 30 Avenue Montaigne. The geometric quilting has remained part of Dior’s design codes since the late 1940s.

Q: How should I care for the quilted leather?
A: Avoid overfilling to preserve the quilting, keep away from moisture and oils, and wipe with a soft, dry cloth after use. Store in a cool, dry place in a breathable pouch, away from direct sunlight and heat. For deep cleaning or colour touch-ups, consult a specialist leather-care service.

Q: Does the zip-around closure keep coins secure?
A: Yes. The wraparound zip is designed to keep contents safely contained while still allowing quick access.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed in the product information section. For this piece, no additional items are listed.

Q: Does it have a date code or serial number?
A: Many Dior small leather goods feature a date code on or behind an interior tag or along a pocket seam. Formats and placement have varied across eras, and some vintage items may differ. The presence or absence of a code is only one of many authentication points.

Q: Where was this piece made?
A: This item is stamped Made in Italy.

Q: Can Dior repair or service this item?
A: Dior boutiques offer after-sales care and repairs subject to appraisal by their workshops. Availability, timelines, and costs vary by item and condition; we recommend contacting your local Dior boutique for guidance.

A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in-house experts using multi-point checks of materials, quilting, stitching, stamps, and hardware. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide further product information on request.
