Q: What typically fits inside the Fendi Knit Mamma Bag?
A: With measurements of approximately 40 x 21 x 6 cm, it is best suited to daily essentials such as a phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses, and a few small cosmetics. Its slim depth means it is more of an under-arm shoulder bag than a large carryall, so bulkier items or a laptop will not fit comfortably.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder?
A: Yes. This style has a single flat shoulder strap with an approximate strap drop of 25 cm, making it comfortable for shoulder carry and the classic close-to-the-body under-arm look. It is not designed as a crossbody bag.

Q: How does the bag close?
A: It features a magnetic flap closure, which keeps the main compartment easy to access while maintaining the signature structured flap silhouette. Inside, there is also an attached zip pouch for smaller essentials.

Q: What materials and finish does this bag have?
A: According to the product information, this bag is crafted in cream knit with cream leather trim, finished with silver-tone hardware and a tonal lining. The colour is listed as Ecru, and the bag is made in Italy.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: This bag comes with the pouch listed in the product information. If another accessory is not listed in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: What is the condition of this vintage bag?
A: It is listed in Very Good Condition. The exterior shows discoloration, wear on the leather parts, and stains. The interior is in very good condition with light traces of use and minor stains, while the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: How should I care for a vintage knit and leather Fendi bag?
A: Store it in a dry place away from direct light and heat, avoid rain and contact with perfume, oils, solvents, and abrasive products, and do not overfill it if you want to help preserve its shape. Because this is a vintage knit-and-leather piece with noted stains and wear, gentle handling and specialist cleaning are recommended over aggressive home treatments.

Q: Is the Mamma style considered a classic?
A: Yes. The Mamma Baguette is widely regarded as one of Fendi’s iconic late-1990s shoulder bag silhouettes, loved for its slightly roomier take on the original Baguette shape. Vintage versions remain especially popular with collectors who enjoy archival Fendi styles.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item sold by A Retro Tale is checked by experts using a multi-point authentication process that looks at details such as materials, construction, hardware, and brand markings. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell.
