Q: What typically fits inside this Gucci GG Jackie Bardot Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 31 x 16 x 10 cm, it is best suited to daily essentials such as a phone, small wallet, keys, sunglasses and a few beauty items. It is not large enough for a laptop or most A4 documents.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder?
A: Yes. With a strap drop of approximately 23 cm, this Jackie Bardot is designed to sit neatly on the shoulder and can also be carried in the crook of the arm. The fit may feel a little closer when worn with heavier outerwear.

Q: What makes the Gucci Jackie Bardot style so iconic?
A: The Jackie line is one of Gucci’s most recognisable silhouettes, known for its curved shape and signature piston closure. Vintage Bardot versions keep that elegant, easy-under-the-arm look that made the Jackie style a lasting favourite.

Q: What materials and features does this bag have?
A: This piece is crafted in black GG canvas with black leather trim and a black fabric lining. It features dual handles, metal hardware, one internal pocket and a piston lock closure.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: It is listed in very good vintage condition with light traces of use. The interior shows some stains on the fabric, and the hardware has scratches and discolouration, so please review the product information and images carefully for the most accurate impression.

Q: Is the closure secure?
A: Yes. The piston lock helps keep the main compartment closed more securely than an open-top hobo, while still being quick to open and close for everyday use.

Q: Does this item come with any additional pieces?
A: No additional items are included with this bag. If a dust bag, box, card or extra strap is not mentioned in the product information, it should be considered not included.

Q: How should I care for vintage GG canvas and leather trim?
A: Wipe the bag gently with a soft, dry cloth after use and keep it away from direct sunlight, heat, rain and humidity. Avoid harsh cleaning or protective products, and store it in a breathable dust bag with light stuffing to help maintain its shape.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: According to the product information, this Gucci bag was made in Italy.

Q: How is authenticity checked?
A: A Retro Tale specialises in authentic luxury vintage and second-hand pieces, and each item is reviewed before listing. If you would like extra reassurance on details such as materials, construction or stamps, customer service can help before purchase.
