Q: What is the Hermès Citizen Twill card holder made from?
A: The Citizen Twill card holder is crafted from premium calfskin on the outside and lined with printed silk twill inspired by Hermès scarf designs. Depending on the colourway and season, Hermès uses leathers such as Epsom, Evercolor or Evergrain for this model, paired with a patterned silk lining.

Q: How many cards does it hold comfortably?
A: It features four card slots (two on each side) and a central slip compartment. For everyday use, 4–6 cards is ideal to maintain the piece’s shape. The central compartment can also carry a couple of extra cards or a few folded banknotes when needed.

Q: Will folded banknotes fit, and is it suitable for coins?
A: Yes, standard banknotes folded once or twice will fit in the central compartment. It is not designed for coins, which may bulk out the profile and stress the leather and silk lining over time.

Q: What are the dimensions of this card holder?
A: The Citizen Twill card holder measures approximately 10.5 × 7.4 cm. As Hermès items are handmade, slight variations in measurements can occur from piece to piece.

Q: Does the interior silk print match the photos exactly?
A: The lining is made from printed silk twill using various Hermès motifs. The specific motif and its placement can vary by colourway and production run, so there may be minor differences from photos while remaining within the Citizen Twill design family.

Q: How durable is the silk twill lining in daily use?
A: Silk twill is robust for its weight but more delicate than leather. With normal use for cards and folded notes it performs well; avoid sharp edges, keys, coins, or overstuffing to prevent snags or undue wear. Keep the interior dry and free from hand sanitiser or oils.

Q: How should I care for the leather and lining?
A: Wipe the leather gently with a soft, dry cloth and allow it to air dry if lightly damp. Keep away from prolonged sunlight, humidity, heat sources, and contact with cosmetics or alcohol-based products. Store it empty in its box or a breathable pouch when not in use, and avoid overfilling to preserve the seams and lining.

Q: Where is the Citizen Twill card holder made?
A: Hermès crafts its Citizen Twill small leather goods in France, reflecting the house’s traditional leatherworking savoir-faire.
