Q: What is the Hermès Heure H 21mm Ref. HH1.210?
A: It’s a Swiss‑made, vintage Hermès quartz wristwatch featuring the iconic “H”-shaped stainless steel case, a sleek black dial, and a petite 21mm case size. This example is in very good condition and offers a minimalist, elegant look that’s instantly recognisable as Hermès.

Q: What wrist size does 21mm suit, and is it unisex?
A: The 21mm case wears petite and refined—traditionally marketed as a ladies’ size but can be worn unisex depending on style preference. The bracelet on this watch fits up to approximately 14.5 cm; if your wrist is larger, contact us for sizing advice or link options.

Q: What movement and battery does it use, and how long will the battery last?
A: It uses a Swiss quartz movement. Many similar Hermès quartz models take a 1.55V silver‑oxide cell, commonly a 377/SR626SW, but please have a watchmaker confirm the exact battery for this specific piece. Typical battery life is around 2–3 years, depending on use and storage.

Q: Is it water‑resistant, and can I wear it in the shower or when swimming?
A: As a vintage fashion watch, water resistance cannot be guaranteed without recent servicing and testing. Treat it as splash‑resistant at best; avoid showering, swimming, or submersion. Keep the crown fully pushed in and have gaskets checked if you require light moisture protection.

Q: How do I set the time on this quartz Heure H?
A: Gently pull the crown out to its setting position, turn to set the hands to the correct time, then push the crown back in fully. If resistance feels unusual, don’t force it—consult a qualified watchmaker familiar with vintage Hermès pieces.

Q: Can the stainless steel bracelet be resized, and are extra links available?
A: Yes. The bracelet can usually be adjusted by adding or removing links. We can advise on sizing before shipping, and extra links may be sourced subject to availability and potential cost. Share your wrist measurement for guidance.

Q: What is included with this watch (box/papers)?
A: This piece is delivered with no accessories unless otherwise stated. A Retro Tale thoroughly inspects and authenticates every item; we’re happy to provide additional photos or information on request.

Q: What crystal does the Heure H use—sapphire or mineral?
A: Many stainless steel Heure H models feature sapphire crystals, but specifics can vary by reference and year. If you’d like us to confirm the crystal type on this particular watch, please contact us.

Q: How should I care for and clean the watch?
A: Wipe the case and bracelet with a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, perfumes, and magnets. Keep the watch dry, store it away from heat and chemicals, and have a professional replace the battery to prevent case or gasket damage.

Q: Is it authentic, and do you offer a warranty or returns?
A: A Retro Tale specialises in authentic luxury vintage accessories and professionally authenticates every item. We provide a 12‑month mechanical guarantee on watches and a 14‑day return policy—please see our terms for full details.
