Q: How big is the Artsy MM and what does it hold day to day?
A: The Artsy MM is a generously sized hobo. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for this specific piece. In practice, it comfortably carries daily essentials such as a long wallet, make‑up pouch, water bottle, a small umbrella, and A4 documents. Capacity depends on how you pack and the use of pouches or an organiser.

Q: Will a laptop fit inside the Artsy MM?
A: A 13‑inch laptop in a slim sleeve generally fits and many owners report carrying one with ease. Slim 14‑inch devices may fit depending on the sleeve and how full the bag is. The top opening is narrower than the base, so larger or thick laptops can be awkward—please compare your device to the Measurements listed here.

Q: Is the Artsy MM still produced by Louis Vuitton?
A: The Artsy MM is widely reported to be discontinued and is now found on the pre‑owned market. Production appears to have ended around 2019, which is why availability is limited to resale pieces.

Q: Does the Artsy MM have a secure closure?
A: The Artsy MM has an open top with an interior hook/clasp rather than a zip. For valuables, we recommend using the interior zipped pocket or a small pouch, and keeping the bag upright when travelling.

Q: Is the braided handle comfortable on the shoulder?
A: The single braided vachetta handle is designed to sit on the shoulder. It can feel firm when new but typically softens with use. Some users find the bag moderately weighty due to the substantial handle and hardware, but many consider it comfortable once broken in. The strap drop on this piece is approximately 20 cm as listed.

Q: How is the interior organised?
A: The Artsy MM is known for excellent internal organisation: a microfibre‑lined interior with one zipped pocket and six flat pockets, plus a removable key ring. It also features four protective metal feet at the base.

Q: Does the bag have protective feet and do they help?
A: Yes, there are four base studs to help reduce wear when the bag is set down. They protect against light scuffing but won’t prevent all signs of use, so we still recommend mindful placement on rough surfaces.

Q: Where is the date code and what if I cannot read it?
A: On earlier Artsy bags, the date code is typically found on the lining inside a wall pocket or on a small interior leather tab. Codes can fade with age and use. From March 2021, Louis Vuitton replaced visible date codes with an internal microchip that is not user‑scannable. This piece is noted as having an illegible code; as always, A Retro Tale’s experts have authenticated it through a multi‑point inspection.

Q: How should I care for the monogram canvas and vachetta handle?
A: Wipe coated canvas with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals or alcohol‑based products. Vachetta is untreated leather that naturally develops a patina; keep it dry, avoid contact with oils, hand sanitiser and cosmetics, and store the bag lightly filled in its dust bag away from heat and sunlight to help maintain an even patina.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information on this page. For this piece, a dust bag and key ring are included.
