Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Monogram Croissant PM?
A: With approximate measurements of 26 × 14 × 6 cm, this compact crescent bag fits a large smartphone, a small wallet or cardholder, keys, lip balm and a few small essentials. The interior slip pocket helps organise slim items. Capacity varies with how you pack—please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Can I wear it crossbody?
A: The original strap is a short, adjustable shoulder strap. On this item the drop is about 23 cm, which is ideal for under‑arm/short‑shoulder carry and typically too short for crossbody. Some clients add strap extenders or a longer strap at their own discretion; ensure compatibility and be mindful that added weight or non‑original parts may affect wear over time.

Q: Is the strap removable?
A: No. The Croissant PM’s strap is fixed to the bag and adjusts via a buckle; it is not designed to detach.

Q: What does the date code MI1003 mean?
A: MI indicates France as the country of manufacture. For date codes used from the early 1990s to 2006, the first and third digits indicate the month and the second and fourth digits indicate the year. MI1003 therefore corresponds to October 2003.

Q: What are the materials and lining on this model?
A: Monogram coated canvas with natural vachetta leather trim and gold‑tone hardware, plus a red Alcantara lining with one internal slip pocket and a top zip closure.

Q: Will a large smartphone fit?
A: Yes, most large smartphones (up to roughly 16 cm in height) fit comfortably inside. Very thick cases may reduce clearance near the curved corners and zip opening.

Q: How should I care for the canvas and vachetta leather?
A: Keep the bag dry and avoid contact with oils, alcohol‑based products and dark textiles that may cause colour transfer. Vachetta is untreated and will develop a honey patina; water can spot it. For routine care, gently wipe the coated canvas with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Store loosely stuffed, zipped, and in a breathable dust bag away from heat and direct sunlight.

Q: How do I clean the Alcantara lining?
A: Shake out debris first, then use a soft brush or lint roller. For light marks, dab with a cloth slightly moistened with water and mild soap, then allow to air‑dry. Avoid soaking or aggressive rubbing.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information section. This piece is currently listed with no additional items.

A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully vetted by in‑house specialists using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps and date code analysis. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide further details on request.
