Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton New Wave PM Chain Bag?
A: With measurements of 21 x 13 x 6 cm, the PM is a compact bag designed for essentials. It will typically fit a large smartphone, a cardholder or small wallet, keys, lipstick and a few slim personal items. Bulkier pieces such as a long continental wallet are likely to be a tight fit.

Q: Is the PM size considered small?
A: Yes. The PM is the smaller, more compact size in the New Wave Chain family, making it a good choice if you want an elegant day-to-evening bag rather than a roomy everyday carryall.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: Yes. This style has a single top handle and a chain strap for hands-free wear. On this specific item, the handle drop is 6 cm and the strap measurement is 32/56 cm, so it can suit short shoulder wear and, on many people, longer crossbody-style wear.

Q: What are the key features of this specific bag?
A: This piece is crafted in red quilted leather with silver hardware. It features a single top handle, a chain shoulder strap, tonal lining, one internal pocket and a flap closure.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: The overall condition is Very Good. There is light scuffing on the corners, minor marks on the leather, a light trace of use inside, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: Does this item come with any extras?
A: No additional extras are included with this piece. Please check the product information for the full included contents.

Q: What does the code NZ3158 mean?
A: Louis Vuitton uses production or date codes rather than unique serial numbers for bags from this era. NZ indicates manufacture in Italy, and the numeric format corresponds to week 35 of 2018. As with all Louis Vuitton date codes, it should be considered one part of the overall authentication picture rather than proof on its own.

Q: How should I care for the leather and hardware?
A: Store the bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity, ideally lightly stuffed to help maintain its shape. Wipe gently with a soft cloth and avoid contact with water, oils, perfumes, hand sanitiser and other alcohol-based products, as these can mark the leather and affect the finish.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: A Retro Tale states that its items are reviewed by experts who assess details such as materials, stitching, hardware and overall construction. The bag’s code and made-in details can support that process, but authenticity is determined through a broader inspection rather than by the code alone.
