Q: What can I fit inside the Miu Miu Coffer Matelassé Hobo?
A: With measurements of approximately 32 × 39 × 4 cm, it comfortably holds an A4 document folder, long wallet, phone, small cosmetics pouch and similar daily essentials. A slim 13-inch laptop or tablet in a sleeve can fit, though capacity varies with how you pack due to the hobo’s soft structure.

Q: Can I wear it crossbody as well as on the shoulder?
A: Yes. This piece has a detachable shoulder strap with an approximate 54 cm drop, which works as a comfortable shoulder carry and a short crossbody on many frames. The braided top handle (about 15 cm drop) is ideal by hand or in the crook of the arm.

Q: How secure is the closure?
A: The flap uses dual push‑lock closures for a secure shut, and there is an internal pocket to organise smaller valuables. For best alignment, avoid overfilling and ensure both locks click fully closed.

Q: How should I care for the matelassé nappa leather?
A: Wipe after use with a soft, dry cloth. Keep away from oils, dyes and prolonged direct sunlight, and avoid heavy rain. For periodic care, use a specialist nappa leather conditioner sparingly and test first; a suitable protector can help resist light moisture and marks. Store stuffed with acid‑free tissue in a breathable dust bag and do not hang the bag by its handle to preserve the quilting.

Q: Will the gold‑tone hardware tarnish or scratch?
A: Gold‑tone metal can show fine scratches and dulling with normal wear. Avoid contact with perfumes, hand sanitisers and abrasive surfaces. If needed, buff gently with a clean microfibre cloth—do not use metal polishes on plated hardware.

Q: How does Miu Miu mark authenticity and serial numbers?
A: Authentic Miu Miu bags typically feature an interior logo plaque and may include a small serial or production code. An authenticity card often accompanies the bag but is not proof on its own. Every item at A Retro Tale is thoroughly authenticated by our team; if you would like more product information, just ask.

Q: What is included with this piece?
A: As listed in the product information, this bag comes with a detachable shoulder strap, authenticity card, clochette and key. If an item is not listed in the product information, it is not included.

Q: What condition should I expect?
A: Very Good. There is some scuffing on the handle and minor wear on the leather; inside there are light traces of use with some stains. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches. Please review all images for the most accurate view.

Q: Is the leather delicate in daily use?
A: Nappa leather is soft and supple to achieve the plush matelassé effect. It is more prone to surface marks than grained leathers, so avoid rough contact and potential colour‑transfer sources. Using an appropriate protector and rotating wear will help keep it looking its best.

Q: Is this a vintage model and can you confirm the year?
A: This is a vintage iteration of the Coffer with the signature braided handle, matelassé quilting and push‑lock flap. The exact production year for this individual piece is not specified; we are happy to share any additional product information on request.
