Q: Are these for pierced ears?
A: No. This pair has a clip-on closure, so they can be worn comfortably without pierced ears.

Q: How large are they and how do they sit on the ear?
A: The earrings measure approximately 5 cm in height with a 2 cm width and a depth of about 0.8 cm. They are a dangling style designed to move and catch the light when worn.

Q: What are they made of?
A: These are fashion earrings with a silver-tone metal finish and multicoloured rhinestones. Miu Miu jewellery often uses plated brass with crystal glass stones; this pair is labelled made in Italy.

Q: How secure is the clip-on fastening and can the fit be adjusted?
A: Clip-ons are secure when properly tensioned. For extra comfort and grip, you can add small silicone or foam pads to the clip. A professional jeweller can make minor tension adjustments if needed—avoid forcing the hinge yourself.

Q: Will clip-ons feel comfortable for long events?
A: Comfort varies by ear shape and sensitivity. Try them around the house first, add cushioned pads, and give your lobes short breaks between wears if you feel pressure.

Q: How should I clean and care for rhinestone earrings?
A: Gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wear. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, harsh chemicals, or abrasive cloths. If needed, lightly dampen a cotton bud to clean metal areas only and keep moisture away from the backs of the stones.

Q: Can they get wet or be sprayed with perfume?
A: Avoid water, steam, perfumes, hairspray and lotions directly on the earrings. Moisture and chemicals can dull the plated finish and may cloud foil-backed rhinestones over time.

Q: What if a rhinestone loosens or is missing?
A: A competent jeweller can usually re-seat or replace a matching stone securely. Stop wearing the earrings until repaired to prevent further loosening.

Q: Can clip-on earrings be converted to pierced post backs?
A: In many cases, a jeweller can convert clip-ons to posts, but this may alter the design and structural integrity and could affect resale value. We recommend enjoying them as designed unless you’ve discussed the risks with a professional.

Q: What is included and what is the condition?
A: This listing is for the earrings only and comes with no accessories. They are in very good pre-owned condition with light traces of use. Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully authenticated by our in-house specialists before listing.
