Q: What are the key features of this Omega De Ville Prestige watch?
A: This circa 1998 Omega De Ville Prestige has a 35mm two-tone stainless steel case and bracelet, a silver-tone dial with gold-tone index hour markers, a date display at 3 o’clock, and a folding clasp closure. It is a classic vintage dress watch with a refined, understated look.

Q: Is this watch quartz or mechanical?
A: This reference is generally associated with a quartz movement, which means it is battery powered rather than manually wound or automatic. Quartz De Ville Prestige models are often chosen for their convenience, slim profile, and dependable day-to-day accuracy.

Q: How does the 35mm size wear on the wrist?
A: A 35mm case gives this watch an elegant, traditional dress-watch presence. It should suit those who prefer a neater and more classic fit rather than a large sports-watch look. According to the product information, the bracelet fits a 17cm wrist or smaller.

Q: Is this Omega De Ville Prestige suitable for everyday wear?
A: Yes, many buyers choose the De Ville Prestige as an everyday smart watch, especially for office, formal, or evening wear. Its slim and versatile design also works well for more polished casual dressing, though it is best suited to those who appreciate a dressier style.

Q: Is this watch water resistant?
A: De Ville Prestige models from this era are typically light water-resistant dress watches rather than watches intended for swimming or water sports. With any vintage watch, water resistance should be treated cautiously, even if the model was originally rated for everyday splashes. It is best to keep it away from water unless it has been pressure-tested recently.

Q: How often should a vintage Omega quartz watch be serviced?
A: As a general rule, a quartz watch should still be checked periodically to keep it in good working order, especially if it is vintage. Regular battery changes, gasket checks, and occasional full servicing help preserve performance. Many owners also have water resistance checked routinely, particularly after a battery replacement.

Q: What condition is this watch in?
A: According to the product information, the watch is in very good overall condition with light traces of use. The internal condition is listed as very good, while the hardware is shiny with light scratches, which is consistent with careful vintage wear.

Q: What is included with this watch?
A: This watch includes a box. Everything included with the item is shown in the product information, so if another accessory is not listed there, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: Is this an authentic Omega watch?
A: A Retro Tale specialises in authentic luxury vintage and second-hand accessories, and each item is presented as an authenticated piece. For buyers of vintage Omega watches, common authenticity checkpoints include the reference number, serial number, dial details, movement type, case construction, and overall period consistency.
