Q: What is the size and wearing profile of this Seamaster Aqua Terra?
A: The case measures 36 mm in diameter, offering a versatile, classic proportion that suits a wide range of wrists. The blue sunburst dial and slim profile make it an easy everyday or dress option.

Q: Is it suitable for swimming?
A: The Aqua Terra line is rated to 150 m water resistance when factory-sealed. As this example is a circa 2004 piece, water resistance is not guaranteed without a recent pressure test and fresh gaskets. If you plan to swim, have the seals checked and the crown fully screwed down; avoid hot showers, saunas and rapid temperature changes.

Q: Which movement does it use and what is the power reserve?
A: It uses Omega’s automatic Co‑Axial calibre 2500, a chronometer-certified movement designed to reduce friction and improve long-term stability. The power reserve is approximately 48 hours.

Q: How accurate should I expect it to be?
A: As a COSC-certified chronometer, the expected accuracy is within roughly −4 to +6 seconds per day, assuming the watch is in good mechanical condition and properly regulated.

Q: Does it have a screw-down crown, sapphire crystal and a display back?
A: Yes. The crown screws down to help ensure the 150 m rating. It has a scratch‑resistant sapphire crystal with anti‑reflective treatment and an exhibition (display) case back.

Q: What is the lug width and can I change straps easily?
A: The lug width is 19 mm. You can fit most 19 mm straps (leather, rubber or fabric). For the neatest fit, choose straps that suit the case’s curvature and ensure spring bars are correctly sized.

Q: What wrist size does the bracelet fit as listed, and can it be adjusted?
A: As currently configured it fits a wrist up to approximately 19.5 cm. The bracelet can be sized by adding or removing links; extra links can often be sourced via authorised specialists or reputable watchmakers.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Please refer to the product information on this page. Unless an item is explicitly listed there (for example, box, warranty cards or spare links), it is not included.

Q: The serial number is illegible—how do you guarantee authenticity?
A: Serial numbers on older Omega watches can be faint or worn from bracelet contact. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously authenticated by our experts using multi‑point checks of materials, finishing, movement, dial printing and hallmarks. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and are happy to provide additional photos or details on request.

Q: How often should I service it and how do I maintain water resistance?
A: Omega recommends a complete service roughly every 5–8 years, with water‑resistance checks performed regularly (typically annually) if you plan to use the watch in water. Always ensure the crown is fully secured before exposure to moisture and rinse with fresh water after contact with saltwater.
