Q: Is this Rolex Oyster Perpetual 25mm automatic or battery-powered?
A: This is an automatic, self-winding mechanical watch, so it does not run on a standard battery. If it has stopped after not being worn, it should be wound manually via the crown before setting the time.

Q: How does the 25mm case wear on the wrist?
A: A 25mm Oyster Perpetual wears as a compact, elegant Rolex with a classic vintage feel. It is ideal if you prefer refined, understated proportions rather than a larger contemporary look.

Q: Will the bracelet fit my wrist?
A: This watch is listed as fitting a wrist up to 17 cm or smaller. If your wrist is larger, additional links or further sizing options may be needed and should be confirmed before purchase.

Q: Is this a date or no-date model?
A: This is a no-date Oyster Perpetual, which means the dial displays the time only. Many buyers love this model for its clean, balanced and timeless layout.

Q: Can I swim or shower with this watch?
A: The Oyster Perpetual line is designed for everyday robustness, but with any pre-owned watch from 2005, water resistance should be treated with care. Keep the crown fully screwed down at all times, and if you plan to wear it in water regularly, a recent pressure test is advisable.

Q: What does full set mean for this watch?
A: In pre-owned watch terms, full set usually means the watch comes with its original presentation items and paperwork from when it was first sold. As contents can vary over time, please rely on the product information on this page for the exact items included with this specific piece.

Q: What condition is this watch in?
A: This watch is described as being in very good overall condition. It has light scratches on the case and bracelet, the hardware remains shiny with light scratches, and the internal condition is noted as very good.

Q: How should I care for this watch?
A: Wipe it gently with a soft microfibre cloth for day-to-day care. For a deeper clean, the metal case and bracelet can be cleaned carefully with mild soapy water and a soft brush, but only when the crown is fully screwed down. Store it in a dry place and have it checked if you notice changes in timekeeping or water resistance.

Q: How do you verify authenticity?
A: Every watch sold by A Retro Tale is checked for authenticity before being offered for sale. If you would like more detail about the authentication process for this specific piece, you are welcome to contact the team.
