Q: What is the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 26mm Ref 176200?
A: It’s a stainless steel, Swiss‑made automatic wristwatch with a 26mm Oyster case and a no‑date layout, featuring the distinctive pink Explorer dial. This example is in very good preloved condition and comes as a full set with box, booklet and a certificate dated 2008.

Q: Which movement does it use and what’s the power reserve?
A: The 176200 typically houses a self‑winding Rolex calibre from the 22xx family appropriate to the era. Power reserve is usually around 48 hours. If you’d like, we can confirm the exact calibre in this specific watch.

Q: Is it water‑resistant, and can I swim with it?
A: The Oyster case was originally rated to 100 metres, but water resistance on vintage/preloved watches is not guaranteed. We recommend avoiding swimming or showering unless the watch has been freshly serviced, re‑sealed and pressure‑tested by a qualified watchmaker. Always ensure the crown is fully screwed down before any contact with moisture.

Q: How do I wind and set the time on a no‑date Oyster Perpetual?
A: Unscrew the crown anti‑clockwise. Position 1: manual wind (about 20–30 turns if it has stopped). Position 2: set the time. When finished, push the crown in and screw it down firmly to maintain water resistance.

Q: What is the “Explorer” dial and what makes the pink colour special?
A: The Explorer‑style dial features prominent Arabic numerals at 3, 6 and 9 for legibility. The pink colour adds a refined, modern warmth that pairs well with stainless steel, offering a versatile look for everyday wear and dressier occasions.

Q: Will the 26mm size suit my wrist, and is it unisex?
A: 26mm offers a petite, elegant profile ideal for smaller wrists and a discreet vintage‑classic presence. While historically marketed as a ladies’ size, it can be worn unisex depending on personal style. The bracelet fits up to approximately 17cm; we can size it for you and advise on extra links if needed.

Q: What crystal does this reference use?
A: Most Rolex Oyster Perpetual 176200 models feature a scratch‑resistant sapphire crystal. As this is a no‑date model, there is no Cyclops magnifier. We can confirm the crystal type on this specific watch upon request.

Q: What accuracy and service interval should I expect?
A: A well‑maintained Rolex automatic should keep good time, though performance varies with age and service history. Routine servicing every 5–10 years is generally recommended, or sooner if you notice timekeeping issues or condensation. Keep the watch away from strong magnets and have water resistance checked if needed.

Q: What’s included, and how do you guarantee authenticity and warranty?
A: This piece is delivered as a full set: original box, booklet and certificate (2008). A Retro Tale professionally authenticates every item and provides a 12‑month mechanical guarantee, secure insured shipping and a 14‑day return policy.

Q: Can you confirm the production year and reference details?
A: The certificate is dated 2008, and the M‑prefix serial is consistent with circa 2007–2008. The reference and serial are typically found between the lugs (bracelet removal required). We’re happy to verify these details and share additional photos on request.
