Q: What typically fits inside this Saint Laurent Boston Bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 37 x 22 x 19 cm, it offers a roomy everyday interior. It should comfortably hold a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses case, cosmetics pouch, and a small water bottle, with space left for light extras. If you plan to carry a tablet or laptop, please compare your device measurements with the dimensions listed on this page before purchase.

Q: Can it be carried by hand and on the shoulder?
A: Yes. This piece has dual rolled handles and includes a detachable shoulder strap. The handle drop is approximately 9 cm. As the strap drop is not listed, shoulder fit may vary depending on your frame and preferred styling.

Q: Does the bag close securely?
A: Yes. It features a top zip closure, which helps keep everyday essentials more secure than an open-top style.

Q: What is included with this bag?
A: This item comes with a detachable shoulder strap and a clochette. Only the items listed in the product information are included.

Q: What is a clochette?
A: A clochette is a small leather cover or holder, often used decoratively on structured bags. On vintage pieces, it may or may not accompany a key or padlock, so it is best to rely on the product information for what is included with this specific item.

Q: What is the condition of this vintage bag?
A: It is rated Very Good Condition overall. There is a visible mark on the leather, light traces of use inside, light scratches to the shiny hardware, and a light vintage smell noted in the condition details.

Q: How should I care for the white leather?
A: White leather typically shows marks and colour transfer more easily than darker shades. Store it in a breathable dust bag, avoid prolonged sunlight and contact with dark denim or heavily dyed fabrics, and wipe gently with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, always spot-test first or use a professional leather specialist.

Q: Is a white Boston bag practical for everyday use?
A: Yes, if you want a structured silhouette with a generous interior. Boston bags are popular for day-to-day use because they balance shape and capacity well. In white, however, the trade-off is that marks and transfer tend to show more readily, so it suits careful everyday use best.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: The country of origin label states France.

Q: How do you authenticate it?
A: Every item sold by A Retro Tale is carefully vetted for authenticity by experienced experts. If you would like more product information before purchasing, you are welcome to contact customer care.
